Page 2's Ralph Wiley passes away
This guy wrote some of the funniest articles I've ever read. RIP

Holy shit! And he wasn't that old (52) too. This sucks, I had just started getting into his stuff after reading his exchanges with the Sports Guy.

I am deeply saddened by his loss. And selfishly shall mourn the loss of many great columns to come. He was very good at what he did.

while this is sad and terribly tragic that he died so young - and apparently in front of the tv watching the Pistons-Lakers game...I just have to wonder who will take up the mantle of randomly inserting race into stories where it doesn't belong? He was a good writer, but man was he hard to take sometimes....i give him credit in a lot of instances, but in a whole lot more he was inflammatory for the sake of being inflammatory. And I just can't abide by reporters who conjure up racial prejudice where it doesn't exist.
RIP mr. Wiley....you were a talented, passionate, and sometimes misguided man...but the same can be said for the passionate everywhere....and that's part of what makes them memorable....
