Do you enjoy Interleague Play (MLB) ?
When interleague play was first introduced, it was cool to see my favorite team play in different ballparks, different teams, watch the AL pitchers try and bat, etc., but it doesn't really have the same impact on me anymore, and since interleague play is about to start up for this year, I wanted to see what others thought.
I certainly like the fact that they are mixing up which divisions play each other, but for me, I could do without it. Any thoughts? |

I'd rather my team play its division rivals a few more times. The Cardinals don't play the Cubs after July - and that's bullshit, imo.

I think 20. I'm annoyed that they aren't playing them after July 20th.
Interleague scheduling is a joke, too.

HELL NO!
More intradivision games please. Oh and to have a wild card with an unbalanced schedule is insanity.

I dont like how everyone has interleague play at the same time. Why couldnt some teams be playing interleague while others arent? Am I missing something? |

I wish they rotated the teams in a more even-handed manner. Play a team once at home (one year) and away (the next year) and then move on. If they are going to keep up w/ this experiment, give your fans/team a chance to play everyone in the other league, not just a few of the teams. Oakland is going to be here next week - great. Ichiro and Co. will be here in the beginning of July - cool. Let them play here once and move on. Do we need two series (home/away) w/ KC every year? Hell no. When are the Yankees and the Red Sox coming to town? It seems like never.

I think it's bullshit too. Teams within the same division don't even play the same teams. And now MLB has gone away from their original intention of having teams in one division only play teams in another division. I know the D-backs play teams from both the AL Central and East this year. It's a novelty that should be done away with. Teams should be playing much more games against teams within their own division.

I agree with Banana Scorcho. I remember when the All-Star game was interesting because it yielded match-ups that we'd never seen. And of course, the World Series was made up of two teams who hadn't played each other at all. It just made things more fun and unique. |

Banana Scorcho, sweeping the nation by force.
Interleague play sucks. Wooo the Giants get to play the Blue Jays. Big F'n deal. I'd rather see them bitchslap the Dodgers six more times a year. |

you gotta wonder if Pedro has too much pride to bother throwing 4 balls two feet off the plate.

The D-backs get the Yankees at home, but I think they also get Tampa Bay. I think they go to Toronto and Baltimore. It's a mixed bag, but I still think it sucks.

Pedro will pitch to Bonds even if the manager calls for a walk. I have no doubt in my mind.

No, '99 Pedro vs. Bonds would be a good match-up. '04 Pedro vs. David Eckstein wasn't even a good match-up.

I love it. Players switch leagues so much anymore anyway, that the leagues don't have that seperation they used to have anyway.
I like it more than usual this year as the Brave's are coming to Baltimore in a couple weeks. ![]() |
