Brian Boucher and the Shutout Record
Brian Boucher is a little more than 20 minutes away from setting the record for consecutive shut out minutes by an NHL goalie. Bill Durnan's modern-era shutout streak of 309:21 was set in 1949. I hope he makes it.

The 5 consecutive shutouts is also a record. Congrats Brian Boucher!

Wow! Boucher used to be the Flyers top goalie, too. I always thought they gave up on him too easy, he is a top notch netminder. Congrats to him, from a Kings fan

It's amazing, especially since any team could of had him on waivers at the beginning of the season. Of course, he was ultra hot when he first came into the league, so this is probably just another streak before he flames out. Still amazing.

Frickin amazing if you ask me. But it only means that he's hot and his defense is playing well. He'll come back to earth. He's no more than a decent goalie. But good on him! Fun to see.

that's pretty amazing.....those are the kind of records I figure are unbeatable in today's game....but I guess not!

Nope the only record that's unbeatable is Wilt Chamberlain's 101 point game.
