Damn, the Spurs pounded Carmello and the Nuggets last night. Wonder if the Nuggets are finally facing reality. They have some tough teams coming up so I guess we will see if they really are a playoff team.
BTW, the Spurs have always been a bad free throw shooting team as long as I can remember (Robinson era on at least). They probably are worse than ever this year and its going to cost them games, but I think its importance can be overrated a bit. Lakers have Shaq who still struggles despite his experts helping him and they won three straight not to mention the Spurs winning two despite shooting air balls at the line. I know the Spurs are working on it, but the more they focus on it the worse they seem to get. Until Duncan commits to completely relearning his free throw shot and start putting arc on it he will never be very good at it. I learned that when I was 12. |

Portland's cancelled its first game in team history tonight due to snow on the ground. This is probably a good idea, given that they suck.

The Spurs are perfect agains Eastern Conference teams, except the 76ers! The only EC team to claim not only 1 win agains the Spurs, but 2 wins!
I don't wanna see the Spurs meet Philly in the Finals (assuming a lot)

That is one of my eagerly anticipated games. Hope we have a healthy Manu by that time!

The Spurs have been playing amazing ball, but we will find out if they are truely getting it together during this next stretch of games. They have Indiana twice, the T Wolves and Detroit all coming up soon. |

I'm looking forward to the Spurs-Twolves game myself. Manu vs Spree and Duncan vs. KG would be awesome. Too bad, Manu is out right now tho.

Now for a slightly differing stance... C-Webb's just going to make the Kings better than they already are. Considering this was a team that lost a good deal of their bench (Pollard, Hedo, Jim Jackson & Keon Clark), Adelman's done an excellent job of keeping the team's chemistry intact and you can't say enough about Brad Miller's game in C-Webb's abscence. He's playing at an All Star level IMO. The Kings are a tough team as it is. Just think what this team's gonna be like with Webber back in the starting lineup and Miller coming off the bench (not to mention Bobby Jackson)--those are two potential all stars on their second squad. I think it'll defintely be interesting to see what this team's gonna be like down the stretch.

Hedo hit an amazing three to put the game into OT and the Spurs pulled it out. Can't wait for the rematch.

There was a timeout before the end of that overtime. What a bunch of crap that was.

None the less, great game and the Pacers and Spurs both fought hard and both really deserved to win. Friday's game should be awesome. Watching Duncan and Nesterovic block O'neil twice in a row at the rim and Hedo stepping up and playing big were my highlights of a tremendous game. edited to give credit to the correct Ron Last edited by darkside; 01-11-04 at 11:28 AM. |

That was a great game last night.
I read that both Mercer and Carlisle agreed that they didn't get the timeout in time. Hedo had a great finish in the game. He had hit like 6 three's in a row before that final miss in OT. Reggie Miller is still clutch in his old age. It looks like the Pacers will be a force in the East. |

Don't know why I said Mercer. It Ron Artest that should have called the timeout. Mercer used to play for the Pacers, but now he is a Spur.
Here is a shot of the three that sent it to overtime. Hedo has really stepped up with Manu hurt. ![]() Last edited by darkside; 01-11-04 at 11:37 AM. |

That was a great game!
Ron really did not have control of that ball in time to call the time out. That was a great call by the official. I don't think there was even .2 of a second before he called it. |
