I'm surprised it has taken this long considering fireronzook.com appeared practically overnight.

I wasn't really impressed by the top-10 list. I mean allow Marvin Lewis to leave? What? Was Marvin Lewis going to stay Def Coordinator instead of taking a head coaching job?

The guy also does not understand the salary cap very well re: Trotter and Davis. Not that Snyder nor Cerrato do either.

Sure that one was but the rest were pretty much dead on.

I think he understands it fine. If you say your in salary cap trouble, you certainly don't sign Trotter to a $30 million contract. I'm not sure what there's not to understand.

Easy to say in hindsight. I was referring more to Stephen Davis and how he counted $11.4M against this year's cap. You don't pay Stephen Davis big bucks unless you are going to use him like Carolina uses him. That was not going to happen under Spurrier.

I have said from day 1 that firing Schotty and hiring Spurrier was a terrible idea. Davis and Schotty should still be here today.

As for #1 - Deion Sanders. Wow! What a revelation.

Well in Snyder's defense, Schottenheimer has not done too well in San Diego either.

But you're dead on re: Stephen Davis. He doesn't fit the system. It's as simple as that. You don't pay a guy $11 million when he doesn't do what you want. It's like putting Stephen Davis in a west coast offense. It's not a good idea. Besides, even though Carolina is using Davis as he should be used, it's at a fraction of that $11 million price. Releasing Davis actually is a good move.

Sadly Dan Snyder is only interested in making money. At this point the Redskins are the number one revenue generating team in the league.

As long as they make money I don't really think he cares how the team does. Evidence the behavior when his stadium did not get the 2008 Super Bowl.

I agree that Dan Snyder is a greedy SOB. No doubt about that. He squeezes every possible dime he can out of the Redskins. However, I do truly believe that he cares deeply about how the team does. If anything, he cares too much.
