WWE admits that Mr. America is Hogan

http://smackdown.wwe.com/preview.html

Quote:

Mr. America got his first win Sunday at Judgment Day, and Mr. McMahon must be more furious than ever. Hogan has found an unlikely ally in a young, one-legged fan named Zack. Will Mr. McMahon and Rowdy Roddy Piper came after the two full-force? Find out on SmackDown!
Countdown 'till they fix the error begins ... now.

Y2K Falcon 05-22-03 11:08 AM

Fix the error?

Anyone who already doesn't know it's Hogan probably doesn't have the mental capacity to read anyway. ;)

Jobronie 05-22-03 11:54 AM

I just checked. They fixed it.

They also removed the phrase 'one legged'.....

~~ PAL ~~ 05-22-03 11:57 AM

Holy cow, I never would've guessed that Mr. America is Hogan if the WWE hasn't admitted it... -rolleyes-

Groucho 05-22-03 11:59 AM

I don't follow wrestling but I clicked the link and read "Mr. America's" bio. That is quite a cunning disguise:

I'm just as shocked as you are!

*leaves thread crying*

Big Quasimodo 05-22-03 04:26 PM

That's not Hogan. Hogan wears a bandana and a yellow T-shirt.

Sheesh!

Oh my God that site has me rolling in tears..

Judging from the above photos, it is clear that both Hulk Hogan and Mr. America prefer to use white wrist tape. However, that is where the similarities end. Just look at their left arms. Hogan holds his left arm closer to his right arm, while Mr. America likes to separate his two arms a bit more than Hogan. That being said, Mr. America is clearly not Hulk Hogan.

http://smackdown.wwe.com/mramerica/images/2a.jpg http://smackdown.wwe.com/mramerica/images/2b.jpg

While Hulk Hogan and Mr. America both pose in similar fashions. You can clearly notice that they are completely different people by the background of each image. Hogan likes to pose on a black background, while Mr. America prefers the white background. That being said, Mr. America is clearly not Hulk Hogan.

http://smackdown.wwe.com/mramerica/images/3a.jpg http://smackdown.wwe.com/mramerica/images/3b.jpg

Both men obviously enjoy ripping their shirts off more than the traditional method of simply lifting their shirt over their head. While they both look similar while ripping their shirts, you can see that they are different by looking at their faces. Hogan likes to smile while he rips. Mr. America prefers to make kissy faces. That being said, Mr. America is clearly not Hulk Hogan.

http://smackdown.wwe.com/mramerica/images/4a.jpg http://smackdown.wwe.com/mramerica/images/4b.jpg

In the above photos, Hulk Hogan and Mr. America display their love for looking to their right. While they look the same doing it, if you look carefully, you can see that Mr. America has much more hair than Hulk Hogan. That being said, Mr. America is clearly not Hulk Hogan.

http://smackdown.wwe.com/mramerica/images/5a.jpg http://smackdown.wwe.com/mramerica/images/5b.jpg

Both Hulk Hogan and Mr. America have a passion for hearing themselves talk. That does not, however, mean they are the same person. As you can see in the above photos, Hulk Hogan prefers to hold the microphone further away from his mouth than Mr. America. That being said, Mr. America is clearly not Hulk Hogan.

 You have way too much time on your hands. Too Funny.

criptik28 05-22-03 08:38 PM

pixyboi - hilarious!

rotfl

WhoGirl 05-22-03 10:24 PM

They sure look alike, but pixyboi's arguement has cleared all doubt in my mind that Hulk Hogan is not Mr. America.

The WWE just wants you to think they're the same. ;) One day...BAM! We'll see that Mr. America is really Doink the clown.

Nazgul 05-22-03 11:02 PM

NO WAY!

B.A. 05-22-03 11:14 PM

Maybe it's Terry's brother, Barry.

Jackskeleton 05-22-03 11:34 PM

It's a sad world that we live in if folks don't realize they are the same people..

This is the funniest thread EVER!

ChrisHicks 05-23-03 11:55 AM

Who is this Hogan character? :D

~~ PAL ~~ 05-23-03 11:59 AM

 rotfl  rotfl

After seeing the "comparisons", it is now beyond the shadow of a doubt the Hogan and Mr. America is NOT the same person. Hey, it must be true when they painstakingly pointed out all the minor differences that we failed to notice earlier... rotfl

I love the angle, it's so silly it's funny !

ROddy Pipper on the mic has been great, just keep him out of the ring and let Sean O Haire be the wrestling enforcer. Good way to get Sean some heat too

Original Desmond 05-24-03 06:34 AM

on the version of Smackdown available on the web which i watch (cos it's not shown in Australia), it always has the offair stuff at the end

Hogan full unmasks when offair !

Hogan wasn't in Mr. Mom, Mr. Mom was Michael Keaton

That's right. Hulk Hogan was the tough, but lovable Mr. Nanny!

A girl who watches wrestling and also knows about the characters.

While we have never met in person, any chance of you marrying me? ;)
