Rumors of the Braves' demise were greatly exaggerated!
For all the naysayers earlier in the year....for all those who doubted the Braves....for all those who said they would finish at or near the bottom....here are some friendly stats:
Braves tied for first at 12-9. Braves 8-2 in last 10 games. Braves 3 game winning streak. GO BRAVES! ![]() |

Just like the rumors of the Cubs upcoming playoff berth are greatly exaggerated. It is still April. I'm interested in seeing Hampton versus the only Cardinals pitcher who hasn't had his head up his ass yet this season.

The Braves are leading the NL East? What else is new?
The real question is how far they'll go in the playoffs... |

I'm not a naysayer and have every confidence the Braves will have a solid season, but keep in mind ...
It's still April! Don't go counting those chickens just yet. We're in a 3-way tie for 1st out of 5 times and are barely above .500. There's still work to be done. das

Yeah, I've been impressed by their play of late, but it's still early.
They need Hampton to improve quick. Getting Byrd healthy is a key too, last thing I saw on espn.com said he was out 2-4 months with the possibiltiy of missing the whole season. Reynolds has pitched great so far, so maybe he can replace Byrd if he doesn't get healthy. Though it would be preferable to have him keep pitching well AND get Byrd back. Ramirez is a rookie and will likely have his ups and downs. |
