WWE Smackdown 2/6/03

Here's the preview courtesy of wwe.com

Smackdown Preview!

We're counting down to No Way Out this Thursday night (8/7 CT on UPN) on SmackDown!
Last week, Vince McMahon announced that Hollywood Hulk Hogan -- who returned two weeks ago -- would take on The Rock at No Way Out, which is Sunday, Feb. 23 in Montreal, Quebec. This week, Hogan will be on SmackDown! live and in person! Plus, you'll see The Rock via satellite from Hollywood. What will they have to say about their WrestleMania X8 rematch?

One week after qualifying to be No. 1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship, Team Angle (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin) gets its shot Thursday, battling the current titleholders, Los Guerreros.

Plus, in a rematch of their unforgettable match at Royal Rumble, Chris Benoit faces Kurt Angle. There will also be a special sit-down interview with the Crippler!

The Big Show last week delivered the Undertaker a "singing telegram" -- apparently to apologize to the Dead Man for putting him out of commission for three months. But it only seemed to anger the Undertaker more. Rumor has it, the Big Show has another present for the American Badass this Thursday night. Will the Dead Man forgive and forget?

There are also several dynamic singles matches on tap this week: Rey Mysterio takes on Jamie Noble, accompanied by his girlfriend, Nidia; Rikishi battles Nunzio; A-Train faces Shannon Moore; and, one week after his brutal post-match attack on Billy Kidman, Matt Hardy will go one on one with the Cruiserweight Champion in a non-title match.

All this and more this week on SmackDown! Don't miss it when it kicks off at 8 p.m./7 CT on UPN!

NOTE: SmackDown! will not be seen this week at its normal time on TVW in Madison, Wisc. Instead, catch it beginning at 10 p.m. (time approximate, after basketball).

You know, they release Bull Buchanan, but they can't do it to A-Train!

In the It's a Small World dept.:

I just found out when I went home at T-giving that A-train went to my high school. Mentioned it to my bro, and he says that A-train grew up right next door to one of our good friends but somehow it never really got mentioned in conversation......

In that case, one of my co-workers went to school with the Big Show at Wichita State University.

When was Bull Buchanan released? And what happens to John Cena now? Though I could care less since those were two of the worst characters.

Personally, I felt that Cena's character is great.

Anyway,

Angle/Benoit was solid.
Team Angle / Los Guerreros was solid
Brother Love was spectacular
Matt Hardy/Kidman was so so
I hope Nunzio brings back Big Sal from ECW, and reforms the FBI

Wow.. if Stone Cold comes back and has creative input on Raw.. then will we finally be up to speed with constant quality shows? Smackdown has been delivering the goods with it's solid matches, but Raw has been really iffy lately. Here's hoping!!

Bull Buchanan has been saying that he asked for his release. Cena and Buchanan stopped being a unit a few weeks ago from what I heard. I get off work late and never get to catch the first half of Smackdown so I don't know when they stopped teaming.

Bull can say what he wants. Whether he asked for his release or not, he was worthless to the WWE roster. Good size but that only takes you so far.

Yeah he was pretty worthless. The sad thing is I remember watching Wrestlemania 2000 and thinking he was going to break out and be a star someday.

I really like Smackdown lately.

They are giving matches which develop storylines, instead of storylines causing matches.
