Mislabled Northern Exposure disc replacement info
Was looking through Moosechick's NX website, a very good website for Northern Exposure and found details for getting replacements for the mislabled DVDs.
Universal is aware of the mislabeling. An email forwarded from them:

Thanks for posting.
Honestly, though, it doesn't both me at all, since the labeling has no effect on playability. All episodes play fine, and since the discs are flippers anyway, the labeling is really a trivial issue.

It's pretty annoying since the episodes aren't numbered. I had to check tvtome.com to see if I watching the darn things in the correct order! It's too much of a hassle/risk to send them back though.

Fixing the flippers
Thanks so much for the 800 number. I wasn't so much concerned with the mislabeling, but my discs have some problems in a couple episodes that I think were pressing errors. I get total audio fade, the screen goes white with audio intact, French subtitles appear out of nowhere and the image splits in two, with the bottom half on top and the top half below. I misplaced my receipt after purchase, and it was about a month-and-a-half before I opened it to watch it so I didn't even try an exchange because of the delay. I have too many unopened DVDs. My acquisition exceeds my available viewing time. C'est la vie.

Thanks for the information on the replacement DVDs. I called this morning to get a return envelope for my discs. I wasn't going to bother to exchange them at first for the labeling error but found out my Northern Exposure Season One set was missing the first disc, and contained duplicates of the second disc. I figured under the circumstances I might as well get the corrected DVDs.
