The Dead Don't Die (2019, D: Jarmusch) S: Murray, Driver, Sevigny, Swinton, Buscemi
A star-studded cast of actors is currently working on a zombie movie in upstate New York!
Selena Gomez was joined by Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Chloe Sevigny, and Austin Butler on the set of the upcoming Jim Jarmusch film on Thursday (July 12) in Fleischmanns, N.Y.
It looks like Selena and Austin might be playing a couple attacked by zombies while the other three are all playing cops.
While signs on set had the movie title listed as Kill The Head, Bill previously had said the film was called The Dead Don’t Die.
“I’ve got a good job coming up. Brace yourself: It’s a zombie movie,” Bill told Philly back in March. “Jim Jarmusch has written a zombie script that’s so hilarious and it has a cast of great actors: Rosie Perez, Daniel Craig. It’s titled The Dead Don’t Die, and it shoots over the summer. But, no, I will not play a zombie.”

Appears it could be a remake of a 1975 TV movie based on the plot summary on IMDb:
The story begins in the Illinois State Penitentiary where Ralph Drake is about to be executed for the murder of his wife. At Ralph's request, his brother, Don, sets out to clear his name and find the real murderer. It's a search that takes him into a nightmarish world where no one can be trusted. Don first seeks out Ralph's former employer, Moss, who runs a sleazy marathon dance hall, and enlists his help in finding the murderer. Then Don encounters Vera LaValle who warns him that he is in mortal danger because he is close to uncovering the insidious plan of a man called Varek - the Zombie Master. Learning that his own brother Ralph is a zombie, Don tries to warn the authorities. But will anyone believe him?

Focus Features will release Jim Jarmusch’s The Dead Don’t Die wide on June 14 this year.
Billed as “the greatest zombie cast ever disassembled”, The Dead Don’t Die boasts an all-star cast of Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, Iggy Pop, Sara Driver, RZA, Selena Gomez, Carol Kane and Tom Waits. Jarmusch writes and directs.
The pic marks Jarmusch’s third with Focus, the studio having released the filmmaker’s highest-grossing pic in his canon, 2005’s Broken Flowers starring Bill Murray which made $13.7M.
Don’t be surprised if The Dead Don’t Die plays on the Croisette in May: Jarmusch’s track record at the Cannes Film Festival includes 11 movies that have played there going back to 1984’s Stranger Than Paradise which won the Golden Camera, as well as the Grand Jury Prize for Broken Flowers, the Golden Coach award for the director in 2008, the Palme d’Or Best Short Film for Coffee and Cigarettes III in 1993, and the Best Artistic Contribution for Mystery Train in 1989. Jarmusch had two titles at Cannes in 2016: Paterson about a bus driver poet played by Adam Driver and the Stooges documentary Gimme Danger.
The Dead Don’t Die is produced by Joshua Astrachan and Carter Logan. Focus Features and Universal Pictures International will distribute the film worldwide.

not sure how I missed this until now (Saw it mentioned in the Ghostbusters 3 thread) but this looks fun! I love Carole Kane so that is a bonus. But someone has to say it Danny Glover: isnt he getting too old for this shit?

"The Dead Don't Die dabbles with tones and themes to varying degrees of success, but sharp wit and a strong cast make this a zom-com with enough brains to consume."
Which = a 54% RT score. (and why I consider RT scores to be ridiculous)

I'm a big fan of Jim Jarmusch's films and own them all, but Only Lovers Left Alive left me cold and disillusioned with his work and I thought he had lost his touch. (For reference, I really like The Limits of Control which many consider to be a sub-par film.) Paterson restored my faith in his movie-making talents. Hoping for the best with his newest picture. It certainly is filled with some cool actors.
