What should I play next? Nier: Automata OR Red Dead Redemption?
I have both if these in my backlog and I've been itching to tackle them... But considering the amount of time I'd need for each One, I'd rather focus on one instead of both at the same time.

Having played both I say RDR. Nier is amazing, but flawed. You have to replay the game twice before unlocking the absolutely epic 3rd playthrough. That second run goes over the same levels and missions, even if from a slightly different angle, and can drag a bit. In the end it is an amazing experience, but one that has enough flaws to keep it from being at the top of the pack.
RDR was one of THE best games last gen. Period. Worth every hour you will sync into it.

Red Dead goes by faster than you think. But you might not want to play them so close together if you are picking up the second one in the fall. That might be enough to burn you out. Nier has like a billion endings, which is why I haven't started it yet either

RDR is pick-up and instantly love. Nier is a chore at first.

Started RDR (I had actually started it a few years ago, but got distracted and never went back)
