Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

STORE ONLY 15% OFF Coupons -- Unknown if multi-use or if will work on 40% Off Items
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (I)
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (II)
15% OFF Single Item Exp ?? (III)

15% Single Item exp 11/6 2:59am ET -- if these are all used I can post some more.
New codes added below at least to make the bots and lurkers work a little harder. Used codes removed 3:30pm. New Codes added

Welcome coupons may be dead -- or at least the type that have been available for nearly a decade. The latest set now have what appears to be single use codes so these probably no longer will be generic/multiple use style.

I love Scream, but I agree that the 90s had a serious dearth of quality horror films.

These knock off challenges make me sad:

That checklist looks a bit familiar.

I have made it through Friday The 13th part 1-3 today. I would say part 2 works the best out of all three of them. on to 4,5,6.

That is literally the worst thing ever.

And here I was about to complain about The Vampires Night Orgy having a misleading title. It's actually a pretty atmospheric Euro vampire film, although I think it's one of those rare breeds that is actually more effective when watching the crappy VHS transfer the public domain sets offer.

Anyone own this UHD DOTD set from Midnight Factory?

Somehow I missed the news on the disc recall and just requested a replacement. Is the cropping issue really that noticeable? I really wanna see this in 4k for Romero day even though the Euro is not my preferred cut (theatrical).

Currently watching The Spell and I don't know if I've seen a shittier family. The mother, father and younger sister are all absolute pieces of human garbage to this poor girl and I hope they all bite it in miserable fashion by the end of this thing.

The Devil's Candy is a sizzling movie, a follow-up from the same writer/director of The Loved Ones (which I think it over-rated). I saw Devil's Candy has gotten good reviews but wow, what a great film. I really liked how subtle some of the supernatural elements were .

It's surprising Tony Amendola hasn't been in more horror movies, he's got a small role in Devil's Candy and Annabelle, but that guy personifies creepy.

Awesome. Thanks, that's the list I was talking about (and probably the only one I can do this month). Now the new mission to find the grail...

I'm going to be going to our Halloween Store today, but when I am home, I plan to hit the Challenge hard today. Started out in the middle of the night by watching a documentary on Godzilla, called Godzilla And Other Movie Monsters. I haven't watched it in years, so I decided to pop it in.

Went back and re-watched Pet Semetary, then reread the old thread from the 2015 challenge. There was a good bit of discussion in that thread and a good bit of unanswered questions. Stephen King wrote the darn screenplay and you would think some things would be clearer. I'm assuming there was a longer cut, and some of the stuff was excised. Still an excellent movie in my eyes.

Bingo!

And here's my likely yearly proclamation that this compilation of Braindead recap videos is the greatest thing in the history of things.

Watched Dracula A.D. 1972 last night because...Stephanie Beachem. Other than the Stoneground performance early on, with the painful, Austin Meyers level 60s ridiculousness surrounding it, this is actually a good little late Hammer movie. Certainly better than Scars and Satanic Rites!!!

Kind of hard to mistake her for a teen or even young adult as they seem to want you to....but who cares.

To be fair, they give this place all the credit and link to our challenge

You're overthinking these things, my friend! When watching those later day Hammer films, just go with those last 3 words "...but who cares" and you'll be OK.

Isn't that the truth!

I'll probably watch Scars OR Satanic Rites before the month is over. I've seen the GOOD Hammers so many times the weak sisters of the bunch seem relatively fresher to me. Maybe even some Monster From Hell...

From what I remember it was an authoring problem, something about every third frame having smoothed out grain.

Not familiar with that interview. I'll look it up later as I don't want to get too off topic here.

As for today's theme, I never realized how few "mummy" movies I own or have seen. I'm digging through the trenches trying to find good material that I haven't seen.

It's ironic that Dracula AD 1972 was meant to bring the franchise into the "modern" era, and now it's a kitschy period piece. I had never even heard of that band before, but the Stoneground scene is my favorite in the whole film.

Last year Hammer re-released R2 Blu-Rays of nearly their entire catalog, and there are several I would like to acquire, numero uno being Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde, which, despite the suggestive title and trailer, is an excellent version of the Jekyll/ Hyde story with elements of Burke & Hare and Jack the Ripper as well.
