Interesting. Looks like I'm not quite "done with Kino" after all. Apparently they added some titles to the list! Didn't see these on the weekend, and I don't think they were mentioned in previous posts here. Not all of them are officially part of the "Studio Classics" line, and the prices aren't as low as those that are, but they all seem be on the first page:
THE APPLE
AT THE EARTH'S CORE
BLOODY MAMA
BURN WITCH BURN
THE CHASE
CULT OF THE DAMNED
DRUM
KILLER FORCE
LAND THAT TIME FORGOT
PEOPLE THAT TIME FORGOT
LISA
LITTLE GIRL WHO LIVES DOWN THE LANE
THE PASSAGE
PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES
QUEEN OF BLOOD
THE RIFT
SAVAGE WEEKEND
SHADOWS IN AN EMPTY ROOM
TEEN WITCH
THE FIRST POWER

Actually, it was mentioned in a post Monday, -apparently Kino announced on their FB page that they were up to 422 titles. However, some of those titles you've mentioned were on there from the start; I know because some of them are titles I already had, but I didn't feel as bad because most were at higher prices than 9.99. I'm assuming that a lot of the added titles, -like "The Rift" or "Shadows in an Empty Room" are part of their affiliation with "Scorpion Releasing" (though I don't know how that works).

Well, there's at least seven that weren't; otherwise they'd have been on my first order for sure. They're in my cart now, but I've got some time to agonize over them. Prices could be better on the non-Studio Classics stuff, but I've rarely seen them lower. Decisions decisions . . .

Given that this is the second time they have had a sale like this within the last 6 months I believe they will keep it up. Titles that are 11 to 17+ will eventually be 9.99/8.99.

I don't recall the last one (or any of them, frankly) being quite this all-encompassing, though. Even Kino admitted this was their biggest ever. Hopefully it convinces them to repeat it on this scale, though I can't see them doing that more than once or twice a year. Their more-common $11.98 sales will be kinda off-putting from now on.
Also worth noting that the "added" titles mentioned above are rarely included in any of their sales. Again, if they were, I'd have bought them already. It would be nice if they keep those in future sales and the prices do indeed drop to sub-$10.

I remember pretty much the same titles be on sale last time, minus those that were newer then. For example I skipped One Million Years BC during the last sale because it was still 17.99. They have been releasing a lot of titles lately which is a good thing IMO.
I picked up 23 titles during the last sale. I've got around 25 in my cart this time.

Kino supposedly said through social media that their catalog would never be this cheap again. If you are thinking about a Kino disc, now is the time.
This is likely near their minimum cost for many releases once you consider licensing costs.

Ugh, I hate hearing that. But then again, they could be doing this just to sell discs too. But that doesn't seem like Kino's style. I'm going to put this one off probably until sometime next week when I'm off so I can just look at all the titles and pick the 5-7 I really want. (and prepare for the wife to get after me...)

The previous sale was actually in late April of this year, so you're right about the timing, but it only offered 67 titles:
(from their Facebook post, which I can't link here for whatever reason)
Spoiler:
Doubtful that the other 355 discs on offer this time around were released in the last three months.
Their previous best sale was last November: 50 titles for $11.98 each (plus a batch at Amazon, but I never placed an order there at the time, so the either the selection or the prices weren't so hot):
(also from their Facebook post at the time)
Spoiler:
These "partial" Kino sales have always been kind of bothersome, because they'vre always so selective about what they include, so that you can't just grab every available title you want in one swoop and be done with it. This time around, they pretty much made that possible, and at the lowest prices overall, and I'm betting they've seen a lot of large orders like mine as a result. I suppose I should be grateful that I bought a lot of stuff in theose previous sales despite the higher prices. Had I held off on everything my bill would've forced me into prostitution, or something unseemly.
When they price "sale" stuff at $17.99, though, they might as well not bother. That's Amazon's ballpark most of the year. I remember my eyes perking up at One Million Years being in the last sale, until I saw that price underneath it.

I'd take that with a grain of salt. Perhaps they won't make this many titles available under $10 all at once, but they did offer several titles at $9.98 in the last sale (and a bunch at $11.98 - see post directly above), though nowhere near as many as this time. My thinking is if you want to get everything you need to date and be done with it, now's the time. Otherwise, you might have to get them in smaller batches over the next several years as KL sees fit to dole them out during their routinely much smaller sales (which presumably keep their staff from getting hammered with as many orders as they probably are this time).

Dang it guys, come on! Are you all made out of money or what?
I hope there's something left by the time I place my order.

Per Fed Ex my order is supposed to arrive at my po box on Friday. This would be an all time speed record for Kino if it happens!

Just checked this out. I appreciate the effort, but the added titles all seem to be at a higher price point. Typically I've picked-off KL disks one or two at a time, and know I can eventually get them cheaper.
If there are no more mega sales by the time this one ends on 8/6, I just might place a second order. It would be great if they made this an annual tradition.
Still waiting for a shipping notice on my first order, although the "processing" email arrived a couple days ago.

Oh, hehe. Guess I expected to see "shipped" in the first half of the email and didn't scroll down. FedEx is estimating an 8/1 delivery but the tracking shows the package was at their regional distribution center yesterday, less than an hour away. Could be here tomorrow.

Also, many of those added titles that aren't part of the "Studio Classics" line (which is all of them except Apple, Rift and Cult of the Damned) usually bottom out around the prices seen there, at KL, DD and Amazon. When they've been lower, it's been for a day, maybe a few hours if I've been lucky. Admittedly I've gotten quite a few of them a wee bit cheaper over the years, but mostly by watching 'used-like new' copies at Amazon like a hawk over the years.

After days of visiting and revisiting the cart, finally whittled it down to 26 titles (from 53) and hit the purchase button (PayPal credit declined me twice as a final sign to consider but went thru the 3rd attempt). Lot's of temptations, but I managed to restrain myself to eight titles all blu:
Sabata
Adios, Sabata
The Return of Sabata
My Favorite Brunette
Son of Paleface
The Bed Sitting Room,
Miracle Beach
The Monster That Challenged the World
Three are upgrades, the Hope movies and the monster flick, and the rest are new. Considered picking up the two Road movies available on blu, but decided it would be better to wait until they're all released. Maybe they'll do a box set. Plenty of other sci-fi I wanted to get, but they'd all be upgrades, and at their budgets, hi-def isn't necessarily doing the films any favors.

Oops! My sometimes non-linear way of using these forums apparently got the better of me.
I understand what you mean about pricing. It took forever to find The Death Kiss at a reasonable price, which for me means "well under $13". I likely got that one through jet.com during one of their sales. Family Video has also helped sometimes, but as I'm not a long-term customer, their sales often fly under the radar. At the top of my list of higher-priced titles are They Made Me a Fugitive and The Chase. They'll land in my hands one day.
