Could someone remind me:
1. How we last saw Jorah? Was it when Dany exiled him?
2. What's the name of the main guy The Hound is with? Not Beric, the guy with the man-bun. I can't recall his name from the books.

Thoros! Thank you; that was annoying all last night watching it. I feel like I haven't heard his name since i read the 3rd book close to 20 years ago. lol

Remind me to add Ed Sheenan (Sherman?) to the "Popular Stuff I Dont Know Jack About" thread in Otter.
Never heard of him, would've known about it if not for his repeated cameo mention here and in a review I read this morning. The performance was totally forgetful otherwise. Amazed that with only 12 episodes left HBO wasted screen time with a cameo of some pop star (or is he a Twitter star, or possibly a YouTube v-blogger?)

Well he only had a couple minutes of screen time and was singing. I'm sure he's a huge fan and wanted to be on. He's big enough for the studio to say yes. He's probably the biggest musical star in England, atm.

With the House Frey wipeout, that would presumably at some point put Edmure Tully back in charge of the Riverlands. Either way, I don't really think there is any army there willing to fight with House Lannister and as overextended as they will quickly be they can't exactly use the Lannister army to impose their will on whatever Tully army there is left.

One other question I can't recall the backstory to. Why was Dragonstone empty when Dany got there? Has it been vacant since the past days of her family?

On HBO Now, it showed up when I first checked last night at 8:59 pm EDT
I thought the episode went a little downhill after the Previously on, and cold opening. Still good overall.
Lady Tarth and Tormund were great again. "You're a lucky man."
I liked that they touched on all the characters whereabouts.
Both Jon and Cersei are concerned about multiple attacks.
I hate Sansa, talking about her dad and brother making stupid decisions. And you haven't!?

i don't think he was captured...he probably went there for help in finding a cure. If all you have to do is touch another person to pass it, i guess he is quarantined with the rest.

I want one of the GoT off-shoots that HBO is planning to be all about Lady Mormont. Either pick up right where GoT leaves off with the same actress as a girl. Or wait about 10 years, using the same actress just as she's become an adult.

Good episode. Not a lot of stuff happened other than the open, but many pieces were moving into place.

I have a couple Sheeran albums but didn't recognize him, and I'd even remarked "Nice singing" just before. I also recently saw Bridget Jones' Baby, in which he makes a cameo and the joke is that people don't recognize him.
Maybe this was mentioned in the pre-season chatter, but I try to avoid that as much as possible:

Co-showrunner David Benioff previously explained of the cameo: “We knew that Maisie was a big fan of Ed Sheeran, and for years we’ve been trying to get him on the show so we can surprise Maisie. This year we finally did it.”
