Jesus. It happens with updates on a lot of different game, just play the goddamn game already.

Anyhoo, I played the DLC... kinda lame. They just reused 3 short environments from the regular game, to showcase the 3 different characters from the upcoming DLC. It's basically an ad. One character's a tank, the other stealth the other something in between. Hope the actual DLC has original levels/environments, or I'll be pissed.

Speaking of which, the main weakness of this game were the levels - they were so humdrum and boringly laid out - there was no thought put into how they flowed and played. The first game was so much better in this regard. Actually, the first game was better in EVERY regard. They dropped the ball pretty hard on this one.

I'm finding the difficulty on this to be... something else. I'm using the "Bring 'em on!" level, which is what I used for The New Order, and although I found some bosses harder, I was able to do just fine throughout. But in this game, I'm having a tough time Every time I'm in an area with a bunch of enemies, I die about a dozen times or so before I get it right. Sometimes it feels like I die after only a couple hits. It's just... tougher than I expected. I might dumb it down a notch since I play these games for the story/fun, not for the difficulty.

Is it just me, being worse at games?
(probably...)

I hear ya. I'm doing it on Do or Die, and it's very challenging. That said, I don't mind, because I don't want to blitz through it and I can save any time (which I do, often).

As for the levels, some are more linear but some I find pretty great, like the one where
Spoiler:
you're in the streets on that awesome dog robot creature and then in the sewers and then you come out in the compound.

Also yes, I did have to start back at the beginning of a level after the update, which I'd never experienced with any other game, but oh well.

yes, it is difficult. i die a lot before getting through. sometimes frustrating when almost there, but i learn and finally do, but yes, tough, but i don't think any tougher than TNO truthfully. could not be remembering correctly...

Currently on sale for $30 on XBL for gold members. Crazy that it's on sale for 50% less than a month after release.

Thats a fucking steal. I got this st $24 and change st Amazon using digital credits and I think small gc. This game is so much fun. Very linear, but very fun. If you liked TNO, this is similar, very similar. Different locations, sure, but all seems familiar. Still incredibly enjoyable...

nevermind...i'm on my way to Roswell. can't wait to see what's waiting for me there. i see i have a ways to go in game. i think this is only like 4th mission of 10, maybe 10.5/11. good. i want to this to progress and get more challenging and see some different baddies. loving the cut scenes too. B.J.'s story is pretty engrossing...

I was wondering that too, as there usually is but I didn't see a way here (and I have too many saves). Could you go into your memory in settings and do it that way?

I finished this this weekend, over 24 hours for me, but I took my time. LOVED IT. I was at a point where I didn't know it was nearly the end and was getting incredibly frustrated bc it was quite difficult, but it was very satisfying to beat and then all the sudden it was the epilogue chapter.

I later did one of the assassination "enigma" missions, and that was fun too. GREAT game overall.

Just finished the game on “bring’em on” difficulty. Took about 18 hrs and I only got 24% completion. Anyone going to attempt “Mein leben”? Seems totally impossible.

So, I’m progressing along as you know, passed the farmhouse and this mansion right after capture and only have 50 health. Is there no health upgrades or did I miss something? I could’ve sworn New Order I was much higher. I’m at 200 shield, but 50 Health...

Re: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - 10/27/17

Thinking about it more
Spoiler:
BJ is really dead. Just reanimated.

I don’t like the idea of that, that this hero I played and grew to love along with the games is really
Spoiler:
dead.
I don’t know how it’s going to end, but it saddens me a little this twist. I hope the rest brings me back, but this twist worries me.

So am I more than half way done? Got arrested by SS. Engel was taunting me. Was that whole break free and wreak havoc mission just in BJs Head? It wasn’t a particularly easy area to clear...

On Eva’s Hammer now going to Grace..

Where do I go and can I do it now use my enigma codes to get those assassination assignments? I saw in the tips that flash on screen during loading times, the enigma code thing, but don’t know when or where to decipher...

No, not "really", as
Spoiler:
his brain and who he is is still alive, just a different vessel.

Either way, doesn't matter, next game's gonna finish up this "trilogy".

Oldboy sounds like you're taking this game's story way too seriously. It's supposed to be campy.

i don't know about campy. the stuff at BJ's home, Anya, Caroline, that's some pretty emotional stuff. yes, the stuff with Fergus' hand and other bits bring levity, but i wouldn't say this story is campy in the least. inplausible of course, but i don't think they were going for the camp angle in this series...
