Question about Vudu and Anne of Green Gables

I never got a bluray player and stream so much that I don't really miss one.

All the blueray DVDs that I own provide a digital copy as well, so I don't miss not watching them via the actual Disc.

Anne of Green Gables (1985) has always been a guilty pleasure of mine and I own some the original DVDs that were released around 2006-2008.

They are not currently available for streaming and I have avoided getting the new Bluray releases since I don't have a player.

However, if I buy the bluray releases, would I be able to convert them to streaming through Vudu?

Does Vudu only allow you to have this option for $1-2 with certain DVDs or are all Bluray DVDs fair game?

Is there anyway to check?

Is anyone else planning to watch the new Netflix remake coming up next month?

Re: Question about Vudu and Anne of Green Gables

Hopefully I can answer everything...

The only "Anne of Green Gables" I see on VUDU is a PBS special from 2016 (and not UV). Therefore, I can say with certainty that regardless of which version you have it would not be available on Disc 2 Digital or Mobile 2 Digital.

I assume when you talk about the blu-rays, you are referring to this edition:

https://www.amazon.com/Green-Gables-...een+gables+blu

And that's not going to have a digital code, you're probably lucky it even exists, lol. (Just saying, I have plenty of things that shouldn't even exist ). So, yeah that's a no-go.

I use this list to at least give me a starting point of what is available in M2D, but it's only a starting point. As long as the app actually works, it is ridiculously easy to sit at home and scan discs. Hope this helps.

Thanks. You are right on all counts and told me everything I needed to know.

If the one you linked on Amazon won't allow me to convert and stream on Vudu, I'll pass.

As I said, I don't have a bluray player and rarely miss it.
