I'm finishing up Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood and just started Blood Dawn by our own Jason Bovberg (aka FunkDaddy J here on the boards).

Started this over the weekend. Had the intention of sitting down to read the first chapter. Ended up reading the first 100 pages. Sandford no doubt has a formula and after having penned 20+ Davenport books thus far, he's at the top of his game.

Finished Dark Matter. I really enjoyed it.
Just finished:
Anyone else read it? Curious as to what others thought about it.

Finished:
I liked this a bit less than the first book. As before, a number of the characters are unlikable. And the storyline ends on a very anticlimactic note. Still, it was certainly "readable" enough and I'll finish up with the last book next.
For readers, how well considered is the television series? I can imagine how a well-done series could be an improvement over the books. And starting with the basic characters and setting there are many stories that could be told (that could go in different directions from the books). Then again, I can imagine how the series could be insufferable to me if the characters were all vapid pretty whiny pouty 20-somethings.
