how long did it take you to finish campaign? you auto level up to 20, is that correct? it is just such a damn fun game and really wish i had more time...

For me it was two of us and we completed it in about a day and a half....with our second characters.

No...you do not Auto Level to 20 when you complete it. Players have completed it being any Level. And you can go back in earlier places...like The EDZ or Titan and just mess around in Public Events grabbing better engrams to level up....then go back to the campaign.

I've played both Destiny games but I also have played Warframe day one when I got my PS4 at launch. It was released in March of 2013 and despite hardly any media and game coverage has grown with nearly 31 million players worldwide and has constantly evolved and chugged along.

Polygon has a good article up....."The Future of Destiny May Be Found in Warframe".....which I found really interesting since I play both. Pretty good read and the article does nail it. And interestingly enough, Warframe took a page out of Destiny and will incorporate a open world in their next update which is a first.

Yeah, if you play normally you should be 20 by the time you finish the game. On my third play through, I started running through the missions and avoiding enemies as I just wanted to get my titan dead orbit armor from faction rally. I ended up having to grind levels in between missions so I could keep going through the story missions.

Last week there was an event called faction rally. The three factions from Destiny 1 (dead orbit, new monarchy and future war cult) were available for players to choose from. You picked a faction and earned tokens to turn in for items. Your characters could only participate if they completed the campaign. I wanted the dead orbit armor set for my titan so I went through the campaign as fast as possible.

edit: It was two weeks ago.

I was breaking down a bunch of gear the other day and accidentally broke down my sword cause I'm a dumbass. While running up my character I was getting swords all the time. Now, bupkiss. Dammit.

I might switch over to an alt, run them up, and then send my main a purple sword

what is the best, easiest way to kill a Shrieker? these guys just clobber me with unyielding blasts. i duck and hide and can get 2, but sometimes that is a struggle. forget about the 3rd when Hive or Fallen appear. and there is this mission where you have to kill 3 in a row to break the 3 seals. is there a particular weapon that works best. most power weapons they seem to have immunity, as does my "special" ability for Titan class.

any tips would be appreciated...

I use like a 126 Sniper but only have like 4 shots and hardly get any purple power ammo drops. Think I dismantled all my Scout weapons...

Anyone else think Iron Banner just sucks now?

My issues:

- No chance of IB drops after a match
- Most of the time, the gear you get is below your power level
- Turning in tokens doesn't guarantee IB gear, just same shit all the other vendors give out
- Slot machine factor in tokens, I'm ranked 21 and still can't get a full set of armor but have plenty of duplicates

there are issues with the game but I don't share your concerns about IB

your issues don't take into account there is a full armor set and ample amount of IB weapons in the loot pool

in the past during an IB event you would have 2 pieces of IB armor max not 5

why is slot machines with tokens any different than the slot machine of post game drops? ... it's all RNG
tokens allow me to turn them in on any character not just the one that earns them

all 3 of my characters are 305 (assuming yours are as well) ... don't care that the power level of drops are lower, I have plenty of infusion fodder if I like a piece

I'm constantly seeing people complain that everything isn't handed to them on a silver platter at the same time they complain there is not enough to grind for and it is such a contradiction

My issues is more with the fact IB is a special one week event. I don't want weapons/gear I can get from other vendors when I turn in IB tokens. In the old system, I didn't mind grinding IB because after each match I knew there was a chance an IB item could drop. There is no chance of IB gear dropping after a match. Grinding IB for 20 tokens only to get a Heiro Camo chest piece and Lincoln Green pulse rifle is annoying.

I do not mind the token system for vendors like EDZ, Nessus, Crucible, Zavala, etc. But for special events like IB or faction events, they should take out the loot you can get from other vendors and make the loot drops only specific to the event. I do not have a lot of 300 gear, so I used to like grinding IB for infusion material but since drops lower most of the time, the gear is useless to me.

I get it but again there is a much larger loot pool of IB weapons and armor that it makes sense to suplement with non IB gear or it would be too easy to aquire everything

instead of giving you the chance for IB gear in post game drops they are moving that chance to tokens you get from post game

Saw an article yesterday on a game site...Pushsquare.. titled....Destiny 2 Retail Sales Down A Whopping 50% in USA.....I was like how the heck can this be. It's actually from a Money Site, CNBC looking at the financial investment side of things. They are comparing D2 first full month to D1 first full month and yea, 50% down compared to it. Wait, you can farm 20 tokens and get 0 ib items? That's just dumb. I have only played enough to complete the daily challenges so I haven't bothered turning in any tokens yet.

Seriously, is there any easy way to deal with these Shriekers? They seem to always kick my ass and I have no weapon that deals too much damage. I’m level 11, I think, power like 130. And I refuse, absolutely refuse to change difficulty level. That would lead to bad things...

You get one IB item and sometimes will get an additional non-IB item. I think an IB shader drops for every rank up.

let's try this again
shriekers are not a difficult obstacle

first, you cannot damage them when their shell is closed
keep your distance
use range weapons such as a scout rifle to damage them when you get close enough to trigger them opening (a couple rockets from a rocket launcher will do as well)
back off and take cover (use environment or put up a barrier wall if using a titan) when they emit void blasts, if you have a sword (with ammo) you can use that to block the blasts as a defensive measure
rinse/repeat opening shrieker, doing damage, backing off until destroyed if you can't do it in 1 shooting
