Also being forced to play a certain type of match is really lame.

The entire thing seems to be an after thought and very forced.

A friend of mine said Iron Banner is coming in October.....is that correct and if so any word if that is the same or they "meddled" with that?

Also servers are down starting at 6am PT for six hours...or at least that's what Bungie is saying.

Iron Banner is back in October. Possibly as early as next week. All we know is that it will be 4 Vs. 4 like all the other D2 PVP. It will likely also have the modes of the quickplay list (Control, Clash, Supremacy) as opposed to the competitive one (Countdown, Survival).

Other than that we don't know what it'll be like.

And yes, D2 is down right now, and will be till Noon pacific. Just downloaded a new patch as well. No notes are up yet.

That's fine that it's down, as I won't play again until after tomorrow's "update" - I seem to be "stuck" at 271, and everything drops/opens at 265, so it's kinda pointless to try progress before then.

From what I've researched at this point the only that raises your level is Powerful Engrams from things like weekly milestones. Once you get to 275ish or so then the regular engrams start encrypting at higher levels

you and me are in the same boat...if I had a dollar for every 265 Legendary I picked up I could go on a week long cruise....I'll pick up my Clan ones later today which I'm awful grateful for....

I’m at 302 and i feel like im already done with the game until new content

Got the new gear coming from the factions, hard mode, iron banner and thats about it

Changes made to pvp/trials are not good imo and not having random perks on guns is so dumb

Exotic engrams will as well, as exotics all drop at 5 points higher than the engram says due to every exotic having a mod that comes with it. And you cna get those from public events. Sometimes (although very rarely) the planetary vendors (Sloane, Devrim, Failsafe, Asher) will drop you an exotic as well.

And of course legendary engrams can turn into exotics. But year, the 265-279 grind is probably the slowest. Once you hit 280 and can buy legendary mods, it speeds up again.

One last piece of advice. If you're stuck on one character, and haven't already, start your 2nd or 3rd. You get the exotic quests to do all over again and you can use your weapons from the 1st character to speed their rank up after they hit 20.

The change they made in moving away from random gun rolls was a big mistake IMO. I’m also surprised that Raid armor has no bonus perks, so it’s essentially cosmetic if you want to equip it. Unlike D1, I’m worried I will lose interest quickly without anything to chase. Hopefully it’s something that they address.

I see the Factions coming back with the reset and some Rally contest. Is there a consensus on which one we should all try and get into. Which ever faction has the highest score wins and each will have a "Specialized Weapon" they will offer to those in the Faction for 1000 Glimmer and those outside the Faction 50,000 glimmer....always like Dead Orbit but like the colors in Future War Cult.

Wonder if faction missions will vary from faction to faction - probably not, just rep for that faction regardless of what you do.

expectations are low but I would hope they would have something that gives backstory on each of the factions and their 3 figureheads and related missions/quests instead of just saying pledge a faction and gain rep for them doing stuff you are already doing

would be nice to also see some type of faction specific exotic like they did with the class items in D1 even though they only gave faction rep when equipped and into'd the transmat effect

There is an error on the last pages as the excellent and outstanding armor for the Titan being show as Future War but that from New Monarchy. They brought in gold and a maroon red for Monarchy this time and looks like it paid off....stuff looks good especially their Scout Rifle. But their Titan Armor Sovereign is simply stunning....probably the best in the game.

Dead Orbit....it's typical black, grey and off-white and the Titan Armor looks like a early version of Iron Man. Everything looks like...Combat Grey....like you're ready for COD or something

Future is the typical pastels colors all around but armor is no-fills in terms of add-ons like Monarchy and even Dead Orbit. Their Hand Cannon shows impact almost maxed. The Auto and Scout looks good.

I was using FWCs auto rifle with the titan chest that automatically reloads ARs while you shoot and absolutely wrecking in the crucible

Uriels Gift has a lil bit better stats but the FWC one has extra damage at bottom of the clip

I have a feeling they're gonna nerf that chest, because it almost feels like a win-button sometimes.

I have a question about infusion items which I've only done some Exotics. It's been a long time I actually did any especially with Legendary.

Say you have a Chest pc you like but lower than normal and you want to take one higher that has the Legendary Mod installed. Will you get the 5+ points from the mod or lose it?

And say you have a piece with a mod and want to infuse it with another that also has a mod...keep or lose 5 points?

In the first example, if the Chest piece does not have a mod, then you will lose the mod from the piece you are infusing from.

If both pieces have legendary mods, then the infusion works 1:1, no loss in terms of power.
