I understand why it was done cause Kripke thought it was the end of the show but the Season 5 ep with the hotel and all the other old gods getting slaughtered was a mistake. Killed off so many more story possibilities rather than being stuck with Judeo-Christian mythos all. the. time.

Well, after this week's episode, Rick Springfield's version of Lucifer is officially out. But, the entity will probably occupy another body.
Honestly, I didn't really care for these episodes with Springfield. The whole storyline with the washed up 80's hair band felt so passe.
Next week is the midseason finale.

Well, the midseason finale ended on a cliffhanger. Although I thought overall this episode was pretty weak.
Sam and Dean arrested for attempting to kill the POTUS, who was possessed by Lucifer. Plus, he bangs a member of his staff, who will eventually give birth to the spawn of Satan.
I don't know. The whole episode felt off to me and lacked the charm of most episodes of this series. I'm glad it's on break for the next month.
I'm not really loving this Lucifer storyline. I have enjoyed the standalone episodes more.

The show came back last week after the Holiday break.
Thought it was a good return back. A very different episode. Cas killing Billie at the end after Sam and Dean made a deal with her should bring about interesting ramifications in the future.
That was a surprising end with Mr. Ketch "cleaning up" the mess with the U.S. Government.

Alicia Witt was a good guest star in last night's episode.
Her character Lily Sunder's back story was heartbreaking.

This season is actually picking up steam now. Two good episodes in a row, the return of the colt, and Azazel still being alive.

All four 'Princes of Hell' have yellow eyes. Since Ramiel (the one who appeared on the latest episode) and Azazel are dead, there is only two left. Their names being, Asmodeus and Dagon.
It seemed a bit weird to introduce and kill off Ramiel in the same episode, but I suppose we're likely to see the appearance of the remaining two PoH's before the season ends.
Wonder if the British Men of Letters are capable of producing bullets for the Colt... Otherwise, what's the point in it?

Unless I missed something, Azazel is not alive.

Didn't Ruby fixed the gun so it work with normal bullets, back in season 3?

That was Mark Pellegrino, so I'd say it's definitely Lucifer, and he didn't have yellow-eyes, he had Lucifer's eye color.

They've had an homage to Memento and Reservoir Dogs the last two episodes. Will the Usual Suspects be this weeks theme.

LOL @ the Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Negan from The Walking Dead, reference. Dean tossing a bat covered in barbed wire (like Lucille) on the table and saying "Man, dad loved this thing".

I totally missed that but nice. SN has become background viewing for me now. The show isn't compelling anymore.

Funny how 12 seasons in and hardly anyone talks about Supernatural anymore. I've liked that they made this season more case of the week in new towns as opposed to this deep serialized arcs.
Anyways, last week's episode I wasn't really that surprised they killed off Mick. it was kind of telegraphed when they did the flashbacks with his backstory.
The Werewolf episode the previous week was also pretty good with Claire returning.

I've been enjoying this season. It's not one of the best, but the show can still be entertaining when it wants to be. Kind of surprised they killed Mick off already.

I figured Mick and the British Men of Letters plot would continue into next season, but with his death here it looks like they'll possibly be wrapping all that up this season, especially if they reveal to Sam and Dean next episode just who exactly killed him and why.

Still really enjoying this show. I don't know why anyone would complain about it at this point in it's life cycle.....you know what you're going to get at this point. I'm thinking the Brit's and mama Winchester will bite the bullet by seasons end. But I always kinda hoped that she would get together with Castiel somehow and he'd become Dean's stepdad.

Man, these last few eps (to say nothing of this season) have been a struggle - yet I still watch (or at the very least fast-forward thru segments). Lazy writing, same-old-same-old conflicts.
I know I'm now one of those "if you complain so much why are you watching the show?" guys, but after all this time it's tough to just walk away - even when the writing is just so tired.
