Mike Myers is having a lot of fun. Between Spinderella and balancing family I would have voted for the latter but some great, fun acts last night. Like Asian Elvis this show has exceeded expectations.

That Rubik's cube guy was pretty good as well!

I loved when Maya Rudolph started speaking to the Asian Elvis in Japanese and the Asian Elvis guy goes "What the hell did she say?"

The Asian Elvis act really annoyed me as it was a straight up rip off of an old Andy Kaufman routine.

Didn't know that, but I hear you. Previous episode had an act that was a blatant rip off of Blue Man Group.

I have the sense that a lot of the "acts" are just local talent looking for exposure.

That said, when it's really good, it's really good. The Rubik's Cube guy was amazing. He said he invested 29yrs learning that trick. Apparently he doesn't have a job.

According to my DVR, the Monday episode is "101", which is essentially the Pilot (or at least the first episode filmed) and, thus, the bigger "names" as the judges.

Yeah, she looked so damn uninterested in what was going on, it was ridiculous. I remember when she was actually funny.

Maya was a hoot, she actually had more of a short leash (which is what I've been looking for in these stars) when it came to gonging others. Too many of these stars are trying to be nice, gong the ever loving crap out of them!

Is Will a producer in this show or something? Or was he just really available when they were doing tapings? Aniston and Black should be good though. *hopes Black is on so to speak*

And I'm probably the only one but can we get rid of the Shaving Cream guy? I'm so annoyed by him by now. I'd rather have a minute and a half of Tommy Maitland scratching his nose than this drek.

It didn't make big news, but ABC renewed The Gong Show for season two last week. I assume it'll be back sometime in the summer.

Also, Mike Myers admitted to being Tommy Maitland.

Some of the episodes were great last season, but it really depends on who was judging. Some of the judge panels were gonging every slightly odd act regardless of how interesting or talented they were, but giving three 10s out to dull C-level America's Got Talent type acts.

Agree that the judges makes a huge difference in the quality of a given episode. Some don't seem to understand the concept of the show and behave as though they are on a version of America's Got Talent or something.
