The designer (or whomever is in charge) doesn't seem to realize 1960s "pop art" is not suitable or appropriate to represent most movie titles made in the 1970s or later.
Can't wait to see the Schindler's List "pop art" version!

Nice to see Universal double down with similar artwork for the 4K release. I guess they wanted to win for the worst artwork for Blu ray & 4K

Holy hell, that's garbage.
Which reminds me... is there still a decent "custom covers" community out there? I remember in the early HD DVD / Blu-ray days, there was some really great stuff. If I'm going to buy Apollo 13, I'm really hoping someone makes a better cover.

Take great artwork and poorly photoshop actors over it and you get that monstrosity!

I still don't get that trend of doing covers for "family" movies with one main character against a plain-colored background- a tag I saw near one at a Target store says this cover style is called "Big Face". Of course the REALLY bad thing about that "Up" cover is that it doesn't include the 3D disc.

You know what, that Spider-Man Homecoming cover is growing on me, it is definitely different. I certainly like it better than the lousy Wonder Woman flying through the air steelbook cover, and of course the Apollo 13 cover is also nasty looking. I admire that they tried to go beyond the usual hack photoshop job with this cover. Major missed opportunity that Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Liz were not also done in the style of a doodle on a trapper keeper / paper bag.

That Plane, Trains, and Automobiles is nuts. How does that happen? They give the job to someone who hasn't seen the movie?

^Still ugly as hell as far as quality cover art is concerned but worlds better than the official monstrosity.
