Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
It has been up and down for me all day. Last lock up was just after defeating the gym near my house.

I walked 15 miles today I guess it's a healthy addiction
Also the walking tracker is so glitched. I had the app running and it never recorded my distance so no eggs got hatched
I figured the app would just save your distance even when off the app and once you regain connection it'll update your steps taken.

I put my 2k eggs in the infinite and save the others for 5/10k eggs.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
I'm in a pretty remote area, and I tried using an incense in my house... I only drew about 4 or 5, I think. Nothing rare. But then, I went into town and used an incense while walking around in a store, and... still only drew about 5 or 6. So I don't know.

Ugh. Looks like fast food places like McDonalds are courting the game developers to get people to step into their shit-holes to find rare pokemons. Having kids going around parks is cool, but going into Taco Bell, not so much.

Apparently it is a go in some Asian country though.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
I already go to Taco Bell 2-3 times a week so this would be great news.
I was at my brothers new house yesterday and he seriously had a pokestop that was reachable from his living room (a city pool across the street). I maxed out the number of items I could carry.

I don't think there is any way to really know. I used an incense last night in an area with pokestops which had lures and in the whole hour I only found like two pokemon that my wife didn't find without an incense. It was a waste.

In my limited experience (since the app rarely actually works for me), lures and incense haven't made one bit of difference.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
Incense brought me 4 or 5 different Pokemon to my house without having to move.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
Incense has been hit or miss with me. As far as item management goes I wish they had some sort of trading in program instead of you just having to trash stuff. I ran out of inventory space and have 100+ of both potions and revives that I almost never use so I had to trash a bunch of them to make room for pokeballs.

Same here . There's a poke stop one house down from me (a church). I have to be right up against the window for it to think that I'm at a Pokestop

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
I've always made fun of Pokémon, but after a couple of the best friends started playing, I decided to give it a try. It's indeed very addicting!
I don't really care about the gyms and battles, but I enjoy the scavenger hunt aspect to it. I'm lucky that my house seems to be in a location that gets a decent amount of traffic, although using incense didn't seem to do much good.
It's funny that I'm already planning my drive home from work to be 5 or 10 minutes longer to hit a couple convenient stops near me.
A friend and I were driving past a park on our way to see a friend and decided to stop for 15 minutes. The park was seriously hopping, and you could tell most were there playing this game. It was slightly bizarre. My friend who often runs on this one trail said you could tell all the regular creepers who hang out there to expose themselves were really freaked about the big influx of people. Ha, ha.
My biggest complaint about the game is its instability. It freezes so often after capturing something. That's not so frustrating if it's something pretty common, but there are three or four critters I've only seen once but didn't collect because of the game freezing. I hope that will be improved soon.
When I first downloaded the game, I vowed I wouldn't set aside any time purely for collecting, but I can now totally see how it could be fun to make a day of it with a buddy out exploring the town. I think it's great that the game is forcing people out of their homes and rediscovering the parks and other sites.
