Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
If people are still playing this and you need friends for gifts and XP, send me a PM and I'll add you as a friend. I'm somewhat consistent with sending gifts. Weekdays is harder to stop by the pokestops than weekend because of my work schedule.
I have friends from US, Europe and Australia but not Asia yet.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
I’ll finally be able to get enough Larvitar and Dratini candies to get a decent Tyranitar and Dragonite. I wasn’t very active in their past Community days so I’m really happy to get another opportunity for them.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
I missed the first couple Community Days and didn't play very hard on others, so I'm excited to grab lots of Dratini and Mareep and some more Bulbasaur, and obviously some shinies.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
I'm loving this weekend as it finally gave me a chance to get Tyranitar and Dragonite. During yesterday bonus period, it was really cold in my area but was able to level up and collect some decent stardust. So far I got shiny Eevee, Larvitar and Squirtle. I really want a shiny Dratiny so hopefully I'll get it today.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
Ended up with 8 smackdown tyranitars, 4 evolved and 4 from raids. Hubs got 3. Duo Moltres you'll be mine one day! My favorite part of the game is duoing level 4's and soloing level 3s. Sometimes I let my husband play his account We did our first (and second) Tyranitar duos and we creamed it!! Very easy, just tap tap tap 20 secs left. I got my team of six Machamps five at 36.5 one at 34 (need more candy) and he had three Machamps and three Hariyamas. He faints and we beat it with my last guy.

I played pretty big for around a month and grew cold, I don't even think I have it on my new phone. The fact that I can't remember says something.
My wife plays every day. There's a stop by our house and every night she goes out into the backyard so she can spin. It's good to hear she has good company with some of you all still playing!

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
There's a Pokestop at work so I do quarter mile loops during my breaks and lunch and there's a 3 gym + 5 Pokestops loop 3 mins away from work that I hit before and after work that nets me 60 items a day. You can hold the daily tasks so it's easy to hit 3 and save them and I do timezone tricks so I can use yesterday's, today's, and tomorrow's raid passes at once so I only have to raid once every 3 days while still using all passes. The only thing I don't do anymore is gym and just pay for a box here and there. I worked out the time and if I do overtime at work it's less time than gymming but I usually don't use overtime just my "play" money.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
Thinking about getting Let's Go for the Switch for my boys (7, 9). They like the Pokemon universe and collect the cards but don't play the game. They don't play the Let's Go mobile app either. I've read a few reviews and I think they would like it. It doesn't seem overly complicated for them.
Do I need the version with the ball? They will play it both docked and in handheld mode. I think the ball only works when docked?
They both have Switches now but I think I'll just get one physical version since there is local coop.
Thanks

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
I think I might have spent around $20 at the beginning when this game first came out to buy coins and increase my bag and storage. That's the last time I spent real money on this game.
I have two gyms right in front of my work that I take over in the morning when I get in and it stays there until they get kicked out later at night. That's how I get my daily 50 coins. It is not a very active place so the only drawback is that sometimes it stays for more than a day in that gym. I'm connected through Discord in my local area but it's just mainly my daughter and I, walking, raiding and catching Pokemons.
Gooter,
I just bought my daughter the regular "Let's Go" game without the Pokeball. I would like to know if that's useful or not too.

Have a baby at home which is the only reason I buy boxes sometimes. I'd rather spend my play money than the time taken to gym, that's the only reason.

I'm needing to add some friends to complete a challenge, and I don't really know anyone else who plays. I've already sent a couple PMs, but if there's anyone else who needs to add a friend, let me know.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)
Thanks for the assistance! I've just added or sent messages. I feel I should mention I am GrouchoM on there, not to be confused with this forum's Groucho. I wanted an easier name to give people when the game started (not knowing there would eventually be codes) and it's sort of an inside reference among close friends, but it's not a name I would ever use on forums. There's only one Groucho here at DVDTalk.

Jesse and James are now in game. If you haven't been playing you probably can't beat them but if you zoom out when you see a round shadow and it's a meowth balloon you can hear their signature call.
