That's a fun little movie. I think I watched it last year with a free Redbox rental. Was considering buying it, but perhaps another free rental will suffice. Thanks David!

I agree and still think that one thread would be best. The Vudu thread is currently the most popular and gets the most traffic, but that might not always be the case. I know it's a ten second delay to post things in multiple threads, but if I ever discover a Vudu deal I'll post it in this thread and in the Vudu thread.

Any more thoughts? I could update the OP, maybe add a wiki, and ask for a thread title change.

I think this thread is a great idea. We need a place to post deals for services like Google, FandangoNow, Microsoft, etc. But there are already deal threads for popular services like Vudu, Amazon and Disney Movies Anywhere. And I'd probably keep posting those deals there.

Maybe we can call this the "Misc. Streaming Deals Thread"? I don't know. It doesn't really matter to me one way of the other. I'm just happy that deals get posted. So anything that encourages people to post deals gets a thumbs up from me.

Vudu mispriced the Rocky Horror TV special at $2.99 at this link:
http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...ror-Reimagined

It's supposed to sell for $9.99, and that's what they charge if you buy it as a "Season", which makes no sense as the only other "episode" is the 1-minute free preview they had up a few weeks ago. The actual special is listed as "episode 1" and that's priced at $2.99 right now.

re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

Welp, I have a weird email from FandangoNow....it will sell any one of the following movies to me at $5.

It has a code and here are the eight movies:
American Hustle
Moneyball
Zero Dark Thirty
Olympus Has Fallen
Chappie
Elysium
Looper
Pompeii

Those eight movies really don't hold much water for me at $5 (maybe $5 for all eight, lol). However, if there is somebody here who wants the code, I'll give it away to them, just send me a private message with your email and I'll forward this sucker along.

I'm with you--I don't need any of those, even for $5.

Microsoft has the episode for $6.99 and the season pass for $9.99, so the pass pricing appears to be a rip-off all over.

re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

It looks like "Killing Reagan" has a similar deal going on- I wasn't sure if there was another part to that coming up but it looks like there isn't. Still not sure if I'll jump on that one, but that's about what I'm willing to pay for something "digital" that's just been shown recently (and if it comes out on Blu-Ray later and I like it enough, I'll still buy that.)

Microsoft has two 10-movie Lionsgate bundles for $9.99. Older movies, first volumes in a series, etc.--the kind of titles you'd expect in a cheap bundle--but hey, $9.99.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/stor...1/8d6kgwx2nwfb (50/50, DIVERGENT, KICK-ASS, MARGIN CALL, MONSTER'S BALL, NOW YOU SEE ME, PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER, TWILIGHT, WARRIOR and WARM BODIES)

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/stor...2/8d6kgwx2nwl7 (ENDER'S GAME, ARBITRAGE, MUD, RED, THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, THE COVE, THE EXPENDABLES, THE HUNGER GAMES, THE HURT LOCKER and THE IMPOSSIBLE)

Vudu and FandangoNow are also sporting the same bundles, just FYI. They seem to making the rounds so to speak.

Yeah, not surprising. I think there are laws about offering deals to all partners, though I'm sure there are ways to get around it in order to generate "exclusives."

I haven't decided whether to pull the trigger on these. I think the iTunes $9.99 anniversary bundles a while back had better selections of movies (because they were themed), but I didn't grab them fast enough. I never watch iTunes movies on my TV, but I can now watch them on my ipad.

Itunes has a bunch of the Winnie the Pooh shorts free today. Search for "stout and round", then click on the director to bring up all his films, the nine shorts are free.

This is better in the music subforum, but just in case any of you don't follow the free music thread over there, Microsoft has five free albums every Friday apparently.

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

Amazon Video is having a Fox sale. Picked up This is Us and Cosmos: A Space Odyssey for $9.99 each, $64.95 for Prison Break 1-4 + the final extended finale and $24.95 for five seasons of Brain Games $108.xx for 89 hours of content!

Right on time I'm 45 minutes from catching up to the mid-season break of The Walking Dead I think Prison Break may have to be next, mainly for Private Practice's Dr. Freedman.

Though that seems high for Prison Break to me.

I've been watching some random episodes of Brain Games on Netflix lately, pretty enjoyable show

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

That is kinda high for Prison Break since all of the Blu-ray sets were $14.99 at Target last week...actually they still are. I've wanted to see this show ever since I saw Dominic Purcell & Wentworth Miller in Legends of Tomorrow during their first season. The chemistry between those two is unreal and even though I'm not much for Prison scenarios, I think the interaction between these two would win me over.

Didn't really need it since I got a free Google Play copy a couple of years ago, but since I could use some of my ample Xbox credit on it and will be getting the $5 back to me, I figured why not?
Now I just have to catch the email of the code when it comes in (Before Jan 6, 2017 it says in the fine print). If you do this deal as well, please post a reminder if you see the email for the $5 code arrive. I tend to miss things in my inbox xometime.

Not sure I even own this movie, so I used some Xbox credits on it, flipping them for other Xbox credits.

Vudu dropped their price to $64.99 for the six movie collection; it had been on sale closer to 80 last week.

Amazon now has SW for $64.99 also in HD ($68.99 for SD).

BTW I got 750 Disney Movie Rewards (for some reason Ep 4 wasn't added to my Disney Movies Anywhere acct or points added for I got 150 points each for the other 5).
