I just got done playing a round.
It was fun except for the server stutters.
Apparently a lot of EA's servers were having issues (multiple games).

I've been playing this on PC here and there for a couple days. Still not sure if I actually like it, though. Today, I've been dropping down to 10-20 fps pretty regularly even with graphics set to low, so it's felt super sluggish and I've been getting my ass handed to me often. Plus I've never felt all that comfortable with competitive FPS with a mouse+keyboard, so I just don't think I'm getting a great feel for the game.
I think I'll try it on the consoles to see how I like it, although I was really looking forward to upgrading my graphics card this year specifically for BF1.

I just downloaded and started playing this today (PS4). I've had a blast with it so far... although I'm admittedly biased cuz the Battlefield games are easily my favorites of all time. Didn't have any problems getting online, however every time I chose quickmatch, it would put me on a server with only a handful of players on it. After I saw that the server browser was an option in the menu, I was able to pick proper US East Coast servers that were fully populated. What a difference with a full 64 players in the round. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about WWI era weapons and vehicles, but I'm digging it.

Beta has me sold.
I love the BF games, although I still struggle mostly to not die lol.
I do okay as sniper.

I missed the beta, was out of town for most of it. Glad to hear people dug it.

I don't think I have ever seen a sexier game. I'm getting a PS4 just for last guardian but I think this will tide me until than!

So far the game looks and plays great. Conquest already works better than 4 did at it's peak. No bullet drop or anything.

I didn't try buying it, but both my local Target and Best Buy were selling both versions (the "early" $80 one and the regular $60 one) today. Is that a fuck up?

It doesn't really matter. If anyone would try to buy the $60 version it wouldn't allow the system to sell it anyways.

Got to play a round of MP last night and it was excellent except for the minor stuttering that occurred. I have no idea if it was due to my connection of the server being slammed... the guns feel right; which is something I can no longer say about the CoD franchise.

I haven't bought a Battlefield game in a while but I'm done with all the hockey high tech crap COD does. My kid downloaded the infinity warfare and there appears to be absolutely no difference between that and black ops 3. Just utter crap

That's always been one of the best things about the Battlefield franchise. The guns feel great and shoot kinda how you would expect them to. A lot of the COD guns feel the same with different skins.

I canceled my pre-order. I've purchased the CoD annual release as long as I can remember but I'm done with the future-tech garbage. I have a feeling I'll be playing BF1 long into the new year.

Looks like the campaign clocks in at under 4 hours. Yeah, yeah, no one plays Battlefield for the single-player game, but still, that's pretty weak since the WWI setting made it seem like it would be a more interesting campaign than usual.

^^ I don't see how that's possible. I did start the first campaign and while I'm no video game wizard nor am I on the short bus, I was about 30 minutes into the first mission --- of which I only completed 1/3 of the act. I think there are six acts in all.

Played the multiplayer for a good 10 hours yesterday. Conquest matches seem to last longer than I remember... every match I played lasted over 30 minutes (not a complaint, just FYI). Worked flawlessly all day (PS4). No lag at all. Pleasantly surprised considering Battlefield has traditionally always had a few hiccups at launch. Game looks beautiful. And destructability is back in a big way. Love it so far.
