If anything this game will have legs on the PC. I don't expect it to do all that well in consoles.

I remember Brink...and all the hype. But the issue with Brink was the insane AI. Even on normal it felt like you were playing Veteran. The spawning was pathetic often getting spawned at the beginning and fighting your way back against the insane overpowered AI again. Good concept and good maps but the co-op part was almost unplayable. I gave up on the game about one month into it as did all my friends. Even the hardcore Gears of War and Halo players said it was ridiculous hard.
I'll give it a chance but without a campaign story co-op mode it might be another Star Wars...a lot of nice looking game play but not enough to hold your attention for long.

It's gorgeous. It controls like a dream. I love the character designs, scores of weapons / abilities, and how distinctive yet instantly accessible everyone is. I just reeeeeally wish Overwatch had a campaign. Something about voice chat is an instant dealbreaker for me.

I don't like it much. One of those FPS where you don't feel satisfied when you get a kill. With so much going on and the crazy graphics I'm like "Oh, I killed that guy?". I was the same with that Gotham Imposters game.

I tried it on Xbox one last night. I can aim worth crap with the game controller. It looks great on a big tv, though. I played 2 games, got frustrated and went back to playing it on my laptop with a mouse, haha.

Probably depends on the character you try; a lot of characters fit traditional archetypes that have been in other games that are the easiest to get to know if you've played other games, like various characters that are similar to Team Fortress 2 (Engineer/Torbjorn, Scout/Tracer, Medic/Mercy) or even traditional shooters like Soldier 76 and Pharah being a typical rocket launcher character.

It's like the Division. I really wanted to play it and at least it has single player components but I knew it was supposed to be mostly MP like Destiny and the like. Where is its thread now?, Second page just a few months after release. That's why I'm waiting for it to be 20 bucks used and just play the single player. With the MP you know if you don't jump in right away you just get your ass handed to you anyway.
I bought Destiny full price and realized I got burnt. These MP only games only add to the problem when you spend 60 bucks and there is a handful of players still playing them or if you buy them late and then the level 30 players one shot the newbie still trying to figure out the map. Good times.

I'll try Overwatch tonight but I'm having a good time with Alienation (PS4). I just look at the MP only style games as a flash-in-the-pan that gets hot at first and then slowly cools off due to repetitive burnout play.....look at Star Wars, you can find the game constantly on sale and discount. I hope the game does good but it would've been better for Blizzard to find a way to pull something out of Diablo with say 4-player co-op against AI (like say Borderlands) or a bit of Halo's 'Firefight Mode". Between this and Battleborne fighting for the Cell-Shade Arena Battle MP of the Month award....might not have a clear winner.

Played a little of the Beta. It looks great. I love that there are so many character choices. The trade-off is that gameplay feels very limited and repetitive. Capute point, defend point, escort tank. All in tiny maps.
I have no qualms about paying $38 (with GCU pre-order) for a new game of this quality, even with limited gameplay modes. But I hesitate when there seems so little to do within the limited gameplay modes.
Maybe I'm the problem and I just don't get the point of MOBAs, but it seems inferior in every way to traditional multiplayer modes (and I've never been much of a fan of traditional multiplayer games anyway).

What matty is saying is about what I'm seeing a lot saying...almost identical when the Star Wars demo came out. Plenty of fun, eye candy, wows, and excitement...but the million dollar question is for how long. Shame both this and Battleborne comes out same month, probably a bit too much of the cell shaded MP at one time. Who knows how many were asking friends and others which game you getting. At this point it's probably Uncharted 4 for me which is already raking in high praise and reviews...plus has a campaign, MP and co-op.

I see it as a reskinned Team Fortress 2 (which I was never really fond of). I played the beta a couple more times over the weekend, and decided for the GCU price plus the fact it will trade in for ~$30 at some point I'll go ahead and pick it up.

I didn't think I would fall in love with this game as I did. The funny thing is that if I would have never played the open beta I would have likely forgot about it. At 42 I am more comfortable with the slower pace stuff like the division. As it is my hand eye coordination isn't getting any better and I've never considered myself above average in MP of games like CoD and Halo, but with OW I felt confident right away and felt I was improving with every match. I totally got invested with story and characters right away and have been counting the minutes to release date since the open beta ended. For me it's a blast to play even when you get whipped it's a plus that the rounds typically do not go past 15-20 minutes.
One question, in the open beta on the Xbox One I could never hear my friends even in group we had to start a party chat. Will that be the same with the retail version? Because Blizzard said the open beta version is the one that is shipping minus minor bug fixes and updates.

Blizzard aside, I do not understand the hype for this game. Seems like your rote multiplayer FPS. Yawn.

Just a bit - it played well enough, but not so much to get me that into it. Admittedly, I'm not drawn to multiplayer-only games. But even among those, this didn't seem any more special.
