I just ran into this sale as I was looking to buy Get Out and was coming to post it. There are some good deals for some discs. I ended up purchasing Get Out and Split.

Fry's still has their Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale going on for their 4k movies. I ended up getting Get Out, Split and Starship Troopers for $47. The Fry's sale is also a cheap way to pick up the Mummy movies separately at about $12 each (supposedly the trilogy packaging is a bit wanting). Other preorders like Bram Stoker's Dracula work on the sale.

Amazon is matching the Walmart price for the E.T. The Extra Terrestrial 4K Blu with CD Soundtrack edition (MSRP $49.98) - $24.96.

I pulled the trigger...hopefully it is not that much less when all the holiday sales get announced. For a 4K title that is only a week old and is the fancy version, I thought half-off is a pretty good deal.

Not as far as I can tell. Close Encounters is $16.99, and Van Helsing is $13.37, which don't appear to be price matches either.

The review for 4K transfers are bad. If you have BD hold onto it and wait for a better 4K transfer.

Famous last words I know, but they are not releasing this in 4k again. The blu-ray is how old? Almost ten years. Yeah, it's not happening. I was honestly shocked when I saw it being released for 4k in the first place.

Also, I'm seeing mixed reviews, so as such...I'll wait until I see it. If it's too awful, I guess I could grab the UK Import blu which does get high marks. But honestly, I think I'll be okay with this.

More craziness...and not quite as good as Starship Troopers, but the Conan remake in 4k is $11.66. Grabbing this one too, I was willing to pay $13 or $14...it has its moments.

16.99 for the regular 4k set and I just ordered it yesterday from them for 20.99. I wonder if they will refund me the difference since it has not actually arrived? I doubt it.
