Re: Post a song you like or love.
So, I heard this song in a documentary about Icelandic music a long time ago (Screaming Masterpiece, if y'all are interested. It came out... 12 years ago.)
Anyway, this is the version I know and love. I STILL love it. It's phenomenal:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/klWLC9QDZww?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
But I just discovered that the band has a TOTALLY different version of it that they play live, and... it fucking rocks.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/UBVbzGAMvv0?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
and here's the studio version, which is more like the original one I'm familiar with:

Re: Post a song you like or love.
Just recently discovered this has a video. That guitar riff, which only shows up a few times, is so good.

Also ... Spotify. Anyone use? I feel like an old man because I just recently discovered it. I've been using my Amazon Prime Music player for awhile. But Spotify has just about every musician I love. Good stuff.

This one is a great example of what was so amazing about Ronnie James Dio (the album cover sucked, but the song is great).

Hard and heavy, but tasteful, melodic, and fairly sophisticated. (And it features some excellent guitar work from Craig Goldy.)

The song is credited to The Knocks, but I am a big fan of Powers and that's one of the singers singing and the other one is featured on guitar sitting on the floor throughout.
Leo's Black Hole Sun cover is a ferocious beast especially when it kicks into metal at the halfway point. Wow.
