Thanks for the tip on Billy Jack, JasonX! I read a few reviews and some forum posts and I think I'll pass on that set for now.

Glad to help. I was also contemplating buying the set, until I read about all the issues.

Had about 20 things in my cart, but then doublechecked and most of them were the same as last year. Did get the Pink Panther set, even though I barely opened my DVD set from years ago.

Same stuff but much cheaper than last year. Just going by memory I don't remember any $3 blu rays and I believe the Criterions were not $5 last year. The Vietnam War set was new this year. Price is better than Amazon. It will probably get cheaper in years to come as all blu rays except Marvel Universe films do.

Interesting to know. I'll have to keep checking back every so often. Maybe they'll get the Vincent Price Collection back in. I'd be willing to pay a bit more for it even though I'm only interested in one movie.

Out of curiosity......... for folks who've ordered here in the past:

1. My order status shows, "downloaded" huh? Is that normal?

2. How long do they usually take to ship? Do they send a shipping eemail with tracking?

I'd say about two weeks like the other post and then a week for shipping. FedEx Ground, I think it is.

I'm crying, seeing the stuff I missed. I was monitoring this thread last week, when we didn't have the login info. But I never checked back this week, once the login was posted on Sunday. ARGH!!! I'm looking over the scraps now. There's still some decent things, but the best stuff is long gone...

Only thing I didn't get that I wanted was the Price box (assuming all goes well).

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

FYI I did eventually get an email from them with this year's password but it wasn't sent until Wednesday the 27th when many of the good titles were gone. I am sure others here who have ordered during previous sales also got the same email. Thanks again to DeepSleep who shared the information with us on Sunday. Though I missed the Mad Men box, I got a lot of what I wanted.

Hopefully they will not send something like this from last year.

Thanks so much for your recent EAA order! Due to the overwhelming response, we quickly sold out of a number of items and unfortunately went into an oversold situation. If you ordered one or more of the items listed below, we regret to inform you that it is no longer available. We will be processing refunds as quickly as possible. Please allow us 7-10 business days to get this done. The good news is your order will be shipping soon!!!

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

Has anyone's orders from this shipped yet? Both WAC & EAA seem awfully slow. I emailed EAA 2 days ago (their faq said orders should ARRIVE in no more than 10 days from date of order) & I've received no reply. My invoice states "downloaded" which makes no sense. I've already got 2 Amazon orders I placed after those 2.

I received an email from EAA yesterday which stated the following:

"Donations from the studios are arriving daily and we should have enough product to start shipping next week. Thank you for your patience."

I'm not expecting my order until the week of the 18th.

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

The PBS Vietnam War set sold out at $45 but is now available for $50. The Godfather set was $30 but now $35. I don't know if it had sold out at the lower price. Of course we don't know how many copies of these movies they have for sale but to this classic movie fan it was nice to see Mr. Deeds Goes to Town sell out in both years it was offered.

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

My WAC order came today. The ONLY film order from November or December i have not yet received is my 11/26 EAA Order. They have also not responded to an email. They have taken the money from my bank account quite awhile ago. They get about 2 more weeks; than it's chargeback time.

No communication at all from EEA since I put in my order. But I seem to remember it being like this last year too. Everything eventually came just as ordered.

I too got my WAC order today without ever getting a shipping notice.

No email from them but just checked my order on their website & the shipping method was changed to UPS, so hopefully it will be here before long.

Mine was too. I do wish all the co's would state what method they use. I prefer to have stuff go to my PO box, but it adds several days with Fed Ex & UPS.

My order last year says :

Order Number: xxxxx
Order Date: xx/xx/2016
Order Status: Shipped FedEx Tracking #: xxxxxxx
Shipping Method: UPS

So orders may not ship by UPS.

My Order Status for this year still says Downloaded. My order shipped last year on 12/1.
