I see the beta is up on PSN for preload. I tried to download it, but I get "KOZ technical test" cannot download.

Re: Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Here I popped this up and forgot about trying last night......got involved with Warframe. I might try and see at lunch when I go home. I don't see anything on the official forum...Open Beta...but I did see where some clowns were complaining they "Couldn't Play" after doing the pre-load...well DUH.....

This game looks freaking amazing... between this and Horizon, I have no idea what to play next.

Re: Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Pretty much how I feel....I've been hyped on both but I can let Horizon slip for a few months being a single player game...still have plenty to do in Fallout 4. But I want Ghost Recon off the bat; just have been looking for a tactical, wide world co-op game like this for awhile

Just realized I probably need to clear up some HDD space to download the beta.

Re: Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Well...if Sony can hurry up and finalize that new update allowing an external HD...problem solved. I've seen some decent deals on Amazon I want to jump on but not doing a darn thing until it's official. I put a 1TB Seagate hybrid in mine almost two years ago and it's about 80-85% full. I came soooo close to upgrading to a 2TB and then word on the external HD feature came out.

Re: Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands

I'll check out the beta, but I'm holding off on the game until later in the year or early next. If it's anything like The Division was, I'll let them work out the bugs in the first couple months and then dive in once things get adjusted.

Re: Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Mine DL'd fine overnight....and it did have that "KOZ Technical Test" headline on it....I might wait till the weekend or dabble in it Friday Night, runs thru Monday so plenty of time to mess around in it.

FWIW...I have a friend here at work who played the Closed Beta.....he said the negative was the graphics which didn't seem up to par but other than that it was fun, challenging and huge just for the "small area" they played in. He said they took a helicopter and flew a straight line from one end to the other and took like 3-4 minutes.

Re: Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands

I'm hoping this is more Far Cry 4 and less The Division.

Re: Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands

I second that...and we still play FC4 from time-to-time...one heck of a game and who doesn't like riding elephants, stomping and throwing enemies around like rag dolls while welding a rocket launcher....

I think I read long ago when the game was being worked on that FC4 would easily fit inside the world of Ghost Recon with plenty to spare. I just wished they made FC4 more "2-player co-op" friendly...We played and loved The Division but when you get to a certain point; unless you have some friends either same level or higher you are going to struggle. So I'm sure many are going to see how the player leveling up with dropping in with random players in missions is going to wok.

Re: Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands

I felt The Division was just the same thing over and over. The co-op play was great, so to your point, if you could combine the best of those two games, it'll be a winner IMO.

Same. Glad I downloaded the demo and played... hated it. Canceled my pre-order immediately. I'm really bummed.

Re: Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands

We're in the other boat...loved it. Has plenty of "Far Cry 4" elements to it...large open sand box, Rebel Support, locals, vehicles but with more variations, the side missions and even the overall look.

We were far from bored....but we of course like to go out of the way and just explore and look around and we found all sorts of stuff to do let alone just hop on or in and drive. If someone is looking for some game that just charge & barge with all sort of fancy sci-fi stuff...then no. It's far more bigger and variation than The Division yet hard to say when it comes to how all the leveling happens. But like Far Cry 4 you do have a sort of "Rebel/Local" element but this is far more vast with different parts added to help combat the area.

One note too which many complained but were corrected...it did stat at the beginning on the right side a sort of disclaimer that this was not the final build and a beta and not all areas were going to be accessible and or complete. Other than that it's still a day one for us.

I was busy over the weekend and didn't get a chance to check out the beta. Is it going on for a few more days or just over the weekend?

Oh well, it's off my radar for now then. Just way too much coming out over the next month.

The Ghost Recon Wildlands Beta Set a Ubisoft Record With 6.8 Million Players

Re: Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands

The Season pass seems to be a good deal...the XP boost would be good and those two modes; Narco Road and Fallen Ghost would be fun to play. might jump on it....

I went to Best Buy yesterday to see if I could upgrade from the Deluxe to Gold and not only was the Gold Edition sold out but the Deluxe as well. I sure wish we could find 1-2 to form up a group and go thru a lot of this.....right now just two of us but we really like to explore and take our time; not go flying thru & barging in with guns blazing. We're on the PS4.....

Re: Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands

That video makes the game look so damn good... I was just bored to tears with the demo. Not sure if my assessment is fair or not so I still might pick this up (on the X1)
