Went to Best Buy today and finally signed up for gamers club unlocked. I preordered a copy of BO3 for PS4 as well. The last few have disappointed me, but I'm hoping for a good multiplayer experience. Plus, I can't pass on Nuketown.

Did anybody pre-order a d/l code? I've never done this so I'm assuming that I get an email at midnight and I'm good to go (assuming the servers aren't fubar)?

I'm not sure on the XO but it's safe to say it should work the same way with the PS4 which I've done a few Digital Pre-Orders. It would be like a few days prior to actual release a notice would pop up saying something along the line pre-ordered game being downloaded. And if you wanted to play at midnight so be it but it depends on who and where. When it was Destiny the game officially came live at midnight West Coast time which is two hours behind me.

That being said it was all there ready to go, quite smooth and hassle free. If I didn't belong to the Best Buy G.C I'd do the Digital again. But for some games you might play and not have a future of long term DLC then getting the disc and trading it in is the best way..

Just got my PRIME NOW notification. The item should be here between now and 11pm. What's a trip is that I can see where the delivery driver is at and he's literally 2-3 miles from me.

Awesome! I'm too cheap, so I probably won't be getting this game from Amazon for like a week, lol

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops III (Treyarch; 11/2015, PS3/PS4/360/XO/PC)

I feel completely scammed by Best Buy... woke up this morning and got my d/l code. Went online to redeem it --- expecting to get the $100 version of BLOPS 3. Instead, I got $100 deposited into my Live account for which I COULD purchase BLOPS 3 or buy anything else.
The only reason I did the d/l path was because I had $45 in gift cards so it was easier on my pocket -- but in retrospect I wish I had just used my 20% GCU and save the $45 for something later. I feel like Best Buy did a bait & switch as the email and product description make you think you are going to get BLOPS... not a $100 gift card.

Played a couple of team deathmatch last night. Felt some improvements from the beta, and everything ran smooth.

Well at least you get the $10 reward zone certificate for going that route, don't you?

Zombies on PS4... Most of the time when I try to play, it searches for games, then randomly stops and does nothing. Every once in a while it will "analyze" games then stops. I'll say maybe one in twenty tries will it connect to a game. When it does connect to a game, the longest I've been able to play is about five minutes before it crashes or loses connection. Regular multiplayer works perfectly. First day issues, or is the mode I primarily bought the game for &$@%ed?

Also, if it does connect, there are usually a lot more than four people in the lobby when the game starts.

I doubt it, he didn't buy a game, not even a digital one, but a "gift card" with the Black Ops III "pictures".

It's pretty common, but misleading.

I'm sorry, but how is that any difference? Whether you use the $100 to buy a download card for a $100 game or for $100 of store credit that you use in-store to buy the same $100 digital game? I could have told you that you could have gotten the same content for a little less by buying the physical game for $48 and getting another $10 back for the preorder. but then you wouldn't have the game digitally. This way you have a digital copy, don't pay tax and save $10 on the Season pass.
In any case, there's no difference between buying a code for this and just buying a code for $100 and spending that $100 on this, even if Best Buy's description is a little deceptive. I've seen them do the same thing before with digital purchases of Season Passes and the like.

I will be picking up my physical copy after work today and jumping on.

Looking forward to multiplayer and some zombies. Gotta diamond up the shotties, right Polo?

Another review for the PS4 version.....

Playstationlifestyle.......9 of 10
http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/...-ps4/#/slide/1

...also another confirm that....

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Nightmares Campaign Mode Confirmed

With Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC (our review), Activision and developer Treyarch have confirmed the rumored Nightmares mode:

Lastly, no Black Ops game would be complete without some surprises for the fans. Players that complete the Call of Duty: Black Ops III campaign can access the heavily-rumored “Nightmares” mode, and play the campaign in an entirely new way, with Zombies!

On top of Nightmares mode, they also confirmed Dead Ops Arcade, which you can watch gameplay of over here:

Players who explore the Safe House could potentially gain access to the “Dead Ops Arcade” easter egg, a bonus mode sure to delight fans of the golden age of video games. These two pieces of bonus content are sure to keep fans entertained well beyond the studio’s signature three-games-in-one offering, delivering the most robust Call of Duty in franchise history with Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

I don't mind camping that much. I understand map control. I just think the quick scope mechanic turns snipers into super accurate ranged shotguns. I have no problem when someone lines up a shot and kills me with one hit at range. They aimed well. It annoys me when they do little more than a quickscope hip fire at any range.

At least give the shotty guys the advantage when close.

Ah, gotcha. If you were to have PRIME - you would have gotten a $10 discount credit applied to the order just for being a PRIME member.

Does playing the campaign unlock/add anything to the online play at all in this one? I remember older games having stuff unlocked by the single player mode.
