Thanks! I'm looking forward to them, too, to say the least.

Roland Emmerich's early masterpiece Making Contact is coming to BD.

Coming May 9th. Never saw it, but remember seeing the VHS on shelves back in the rental era.

So with the Son of the Pink Panther being released separately from the box set does that mean the all of the films will be released separately at some time? I'd rather have tat then the boxset where I don't want a couple of the films .

I think Son and one other, Curse?, are being released separately because the box set is strictly the Sellers ones and he's not in those two.

re: The One and Only Kino Lorber Blu-ray Thread

According to the Kino Lorber Facebook page, a couple of Ken Wahl classics are coming to BD.

The Taking of Beverly Hills

The Soldier

and wow, Ken Wahl hasn't worked in 21 years according to his IMDB profile. Guess he's long retired from acting.

Edit: Looks like he had some financial problems, personal problems and a major injury that derailed his life and career.

The Soldier is a damn good movie. Reminded of another movie from same period, The Amateur with John Savage.

re: The One and Only Kino Lorber Blu-ray Thread

FINALLY!

Announced on Kino's Facebook page:

Adventures of Captain Marvel (1941) A 12-Chapter Serial
Coming September 19th on DVD and Blu-ray!
Newly Re-mastered in HD from a 4K Scan by Paramount Pictures Archives!
• Audio Commentary by Film Historians Jerry Beck, Chris Eberle, Shane Kelly, Boyd Magers, Leonard Maltin, Adam Murdough, Constantine Nasr, Donnie Waddell, Tom Weaver and J.D. Witney
• Booklet essay by Matt Singer, editor-in-chief and film critic of ScreenCrush.com
• Reversible Blu-ray Art

There's only two serials I've ever felt compelled to upgrade through various formats (despite having seen plenty): this, and King of the Rocketmen. I can only hope that one's on the horizon, too.

re: The One and Only Kino Lorber Blu-ray Thread

Noticed some new (-ish?) listings for upcoming Kino titles at Amazon.

OSS 117 5 FILM COLLECTION (Sept 26)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073ZYXWGK/
- Trailers
Not sure the OSS films have even been available with subs in North America before. The local library chain here has a few of them on official widescreen DVDs, but they're French audio-only and no subs, as they were only intended for the Quebec market. It'll be nice to finally comprehend some of the finer points!

CYBORG 2087 (Sept. 26)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073ZWK3B7/
- Audio Commentary by Writer and Filmmaker Chris Alexander
- Trailers

DIMENSION 5 (Sept. 26)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074126BCW/

- Reversible Blu-ray Art
- Trailer Gallery

FUNNY BONES (Sept. 19)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073ZYXYJZ/
- Audio Commentary by Director Peter Chelsom, moderated by filmmaker Elijah Drenner
