You were right! Wal-Mart hasn't relisted it, but I checked back and saw that Amazon has a different listing for an edition of A Royal Christmas that came out in January. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O1D3C3E/

So all is good and my quest is complete.

I agree! I refuse to watch Murder, She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery until they release the director's true vision!

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

I enjoy the X-Mas movies that Hallmark and ABC Family show during this time of year. I watched several last year. Usually they have a lot of actors I like. However, it's a little hard to make time for several 2 hour movies in addition to TV shows still airing. Agree about the DVR space issue as well.

These are not 'movies', they were made for the Hallmark channel to torture husbands and boyfriends during the holidays.

Every single one of them is about a successful woman who is too busy for love. Then meets a handsome single guy who she hates for no reason. They they get forced together on some big project or something. And they fall in love by Christmas. Every one.

Count me as another sucker for these movies--especially when they star one of my celebrity crushes. I'm in for anything with Sarah Lancaster or Alicia Witt. And I'll be checking out that one with Meghan Ory.

The movies are predictable fluff but they are often enjoyable if the casting process hasn't gone awry.

Yeah a lot of these are guilty pleasure movies for me too. My parents get into watching a bunch of these this time of year so I usually end up watching some with them.

Didn't know I had the Hallmark Channel on my less than basic package, but it's there. Despite their flaws, I love all these movies.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

They did that last year with a few of these movies. Walmart and Folgers Coffee product placement were pretty blatant in A Royal Christmas and Nine Lives of Christmas. I have been watching these on dvd, last year's were good, I really liked Nine Lives of Christmas, I hope to see some of these at Walmart since that's who had the dvds last year.

Yeah...I was confused for a sec thinking the movie was back from commercial break, but it turned out to be an ad for Folger's. All I could think was well played Hallmark marketing team, well played indeed.

I like Rachel Boston, so maybe I'll check it out.

The problem with a lot of these Holiday movies is they cast such bland leading men.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Sunday night's new movie is Charming Christmas starring Julie Benz and David Sutcliffe. It airs at 8pm.

http://www.hallmarkchannel.com/charming-christmas

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hqMPadkvHMM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Meredith Rossman is the uptight heiress of Rossman's Department store. She has made the business her entire life, not leaving any time for Christmas or romance, much to the chagrin of her parents. But when she is roped into donning the store's antique Mrs. Claus outfit to play Mrs. Claus at Rossman's famous Santaville, her life takes some unexpected turns. Through the help of the suit and the charming store Santa, Nick, Meredith rekindles her love of Christmas, the store, their employees and possibly even begins a new love with Nick. He is mysterious, great with children and always there when you need him. Just like the real Santa....wait...could he be? One thing is certain: from the moment Meredith put on the magical Mrs. Claus dress, her life would never be the same!
I'm looking forward to this one. I always liked Julie Benz. And it's an actual Christmas movie, unlike some others that are just standard RomComs with holiday decorations in the background.

They get some good actresses, but I've never heard of most of the guys. Maybe they come from daytime TV?

Now this is one I'll watch for sure. Like Julie Benz and I know David Sutcliffe from a few shows. He was on Proof this past summer on TNT, Private Practice and even Gilmore Girls.
