Re: Disney Movies Anywhere - News & Hot Deals

I noticed that many Disney movies are a few bucks cheaper at Microsoft Movies & TV. Since MS is now compatible with DMA, the movies will transfer over to Vudu, iTunes, Amazon, Google, etc.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/stor...sney/fs_disney

Titles that are normally $17.99 at other services are $14.99 at MS. And the $14.99 titles are often $13.49.

Re: Disney Movies Anywhere - News & Hot Deals

Amazon Video has a bunch of Disney-owned Muppet movies on sale for $9.99 (HD). These titles are DMA-compatible, so they'll transfer over to Vudu, iTunes, MS, Google, etc. And you get 150 DMR points.

The Muppet Movie (1979)
Great Muppet Caper
Muppet Christmas Carol
Muppet Treasure Island
The Muppets' Wizard of Oz (SD-only)
A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa
The Muppets (2011)
Muppets Most Wanted

The non-Disney movies (Muppets Take Manhattan, Muppets from Space, and Very Merry Muppet Christmas) are not on sale. And they are not DMA-compatible.

Got an email today from "Disney Movies Anywhere" that said my account info needed to be updated.

Yeah, OK.

Beware of phishing.

Got the e-mail and it appears legit. I didn't click through the e-mail, instead logging into my DMR account. Immediately there was a pop up box asking me to verify my info or something like that.

I got that earlier, plus I just got one from iTunes.

The Video Privacy Protection Act requires that Apple obtain your permission to share your Disney movies purchased from iTunes with Disney Movies Anywhere every two years.

To meet the requirements of that Act, we have disconnected your Disney Movies Anywhere account from your iTunes Store account. This change will not affect any of the Disney movies currently in your iTunes account

To continue using Disney Movies Anywhere with iTunes, you need to reconnect your accounts. For more information about Disney Movies Anywhere, visit our support page.

Re: Disney Movies Anywhere - News & Hot Deals

Looks like accepting the new Terms of Service has disconnected all the accounts. I was able to go and re-connect with Apple, but still can't with VUDU, Microsoft or Google Play. It sucks because I want to have The Good Dinosaur stream on my Roku and as of now, I can't.

Can you use the DRM points to actually buy stuff? They only seem to be good for kiddie stuff, not actual movies.

Seriously? There have been movies available for years. So many years ago that it used to be DVD's only. They also have always had collectibles that really only appeal to adults.

Re: Disney Movies Anywhere - News & Hot Deals

I finally got the "we have disconnected your Disney Movies Anywhere account from your iTunes Store account" email. And just as it says, my account has been disconnected. But the really ridiculous part is it will now not re-connect when I follow their documented process. Did some checking around and it's a very common problem. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Yeah, I just posted the same thing above. I was able to re-connect with Apple but not any of the others. This sucks.

It's Apple (iTunes) that I am having trouble with. Clicking the iTunes choice opens a new install iTunes window, and nothing else. Not trying the other steaming providers since I don't use them.

Re: Disney Movies Anywhere - News & Hot Deals

I just redeemed my iTunes code for Prince Caspian which expired in 2009. Impressive. Don't know if credit should go to Disney or iTunes. I see that you don't get any DMA points unless you redeem directly through DMA though. Wish I hadn't sold my Incredible Hulk one when I got rid of the disc. Who'd have predicted DMA back then? Dammit.

How come Avengers, Winter Soldier, and Ultron didn't come with anything except for Marvel offers? No DMA or iTunes? That sucks.

Incredible Hulk is still a Universal release. No DMA.

For most of Marvel's recent output, the digital copy only came with the 3D release.

That's actually a good thing, because that means it's offers for D2D ! Same with Narnia 3. Shame about Narnia 1 though. I don't think there was ever a code for that, and it ain't going on sale.

Well, that...really...sucks.

Hmm, I just got this message the other day, but my Disney movies are still showing in my Xbox and Amazon accounts so I figured it was a phish. Now I'm not sure what to think. I didn't see anything when I went to iTunes but I didn't think to go to the DMR site. I don't watch my movies on iTunes but I still want this thing to work as advertised.
