It probably does lag. But as long as the audio matches the video, and it should because there would be the same lag for both, it's really a moot point.

"Lag" really only concerns video games or other user-input-based applications. Streaming a movie isn't that.

If you watch it and it looks fine to you, then that's all that really matters no?

Xbox Game Pass Expands To Include New Releases From Microsoft Studios

https://majornelson.com/2018/01/23/x...osoft-studios/

Moving forward, we plan to release all new Xbox One exclusive games from Microsoft Studios into Xbox Game Pass on the same date as their global release. This means that when Sea of Thieves launches on March 20, it will be included in Xbox Game Pass to all members.

This plan to bring new games timed with their global release into Xbox Game Pass not only includes announced titles like Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, and Crackdown 3 but future unannounced games from Microsoft Studios including new iterations of our biggest Xbox One exclusive franchises such as Halo, Forza and Gears of War, on the same day they launch.
Insert joke about Microsoft ever having any good exclusives on Xbox to make this worthwhile?

Wow. That might be the tipping point for me to join. Basically if you would have purchased 2 games per year or more from them, it makes sense to subscribe.

I doubt I'll be able to find it, but this is what I've said EA Access should have done from the start. I hope they follow this trend, even if it means they have to create a higher tier for those who want it.

Same... I'll probably jump in when they release the new Crackdown... but Sea of Thieves isn't of interest to me.

I've got Crackdown 3 on preorder. I don't have much interest in Sea of Thieves, either, but if it gets good reviews, I'd check it out. I do want State of Decay 2, though. So there's my 2 games that would pay for this service.

Wow... that just saved me a bunch of money...

I'm surprised that they didn't either create a higher tier for that... or combine Gold and Game Pass into a new tier like Gold Plus or something.

Yeah, if you're only in to single player or checking a game out on release, you could just pay $10 for the month to play the new release and be done with it. I assume Microsoft is banking on people keeping their subscriptions.

Or they wait a year and up the price to $15 a month.

So with this changing now, did they just dump all of the Forza games in there?

Re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

My question/concern would be how long would the new game be kept on the service since they move titles in and out of Game Pass. If it is at least say 2 months that is enough for me usually to get through a game any ways, but say it is only a month for these new games would not be cool in my book at least. Overall though this news would definitely get me to pick up the service.

Will be interesting to see how many people cancel their pre orders for sea of thieves and crackdown 3.

I'd be surprised if we saw those bigger titles leave the service and remain permanent as selling points. I always got the feeling games like Halo 5 would just always be on there.

Straight from the horse's mouth (Aaron Greenberg):

Some of our @Xbox fans have asked, so wanted to share: we’re adding new Xbox One exclusives to Game Pass with the intention of them being a regular part of the value for being an #XboxGamePass subscriber going forward!
So basically new release titles will forever remain on Game Pass.

Split/Second is a fantastic racing game. It gets hard as hell in later races, but is a fucking blast to play.

Own it on PS4/Own it/Own it on disc/Own it. Figures.

Agree about Split/Second. Very fun (but tough) game.

Yep, very fun game. There is still one time-based achievement that eludes me.

Same here. The final super car timed race. Super aggrivating.

This version is lacking the Offspring, correct? The game just isn't the same without it.

It's funny because I totally associate Crazy Taxi with The Offspring and the "ya ya ya ya ya" to start a round.

Or you could just listen to good music while playing instead.
