Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

It officially starts Tuesday the 5th. But the pre-Christmas update just gave me Kang and Kodos for free!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I recently started KEM farming after resisting for a while. I should have started earning donuts this way a long time ago. Wow.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I inquired about that here earlier this year and it's been amazing. Basically, it's farming Kwik-E-Marts for donuts and it's simple:

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah I earn 20-25 donuts a day, roughly, depending on how I often I log in.

After saving up a lot, I turn around a buy a strings of mystery boxes (the mr. burns variety) and that will increase my percentage by 9% (with all the billboards and news vans) for 56-88 donuts per run. That then nets me more donuts per KEM farming.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Oh great, another event involving tapping microscopic things. Good thing we have the funzo finder.

And I like how they repurposed the SciFi Fighter game. But that's OK. I'm still playing anyway.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

So other than tapping Funzo robots, tapping friends and defending the Simpsons house, is there any way to earn event resources?

No, there really isn't a whole lot going on yet. No character currency tasks, and I have one open quest but it's waiting for a prize that I'm still like three prizes away from earning.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The Bart and Lisa Elf characters will allegedly earn event currency at some point.

This event feels a little empty.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Well, they keep adding stuff to buy, but not much else to do.

I'm working on prize 5 of 7 so I'm sure I'll get there, though. About prize 4:
Spoiler:
The skating rink animation is fun.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah, there isn't much going on. While I wouldn't mind that with most of the mid-year events I do prefer the Christmas ones to be abit more involved.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I saw we got new Kodos and Kang tasks but figured they were just random and didn't realize it was the start of act 2. Still haven't found anything new to do, though.

The Kwik-E-Mart farming is great. With the XP collider on and my 600% multiplier, I farm only seven buildings and get halfway through a level.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

This event is pretty boring. But I'm glad they aren't doing the mechanic where you have to log in every four hours on the dot. That's what's turned off so much of the audience here.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I also had to get Jesus. I mean, I already had Jesus. We all have Jesus. Or he has all of us? Look, I'm just trying to say Jesus loves everyone and I spent a lot of donuts on him, okay?

F this game for having these periods when I have to download 1885.3 MB of updates every time I try to play.

I know, right? Also, the game says I need to clear space on my phone even though I have the game installed on my SD card. Stinks.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I bought all the Stonecutters I didn't have, which was 5-6, plus the spy mystery box prize people I didn't have, so I'm at least 9-10 storylines deep in my task box! "Task box WAAAAAY open!"

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I bought the two Stonecutter outfits I lacked plus Number 51. Ten donuts each was pretty cheap. But outfitting those characters made me realize I also had one for Disco Stu that I'd never used.

Wow, an event that actually ended on time and without an update, I can't believe it!

Actually, they've been ending all these events on time for at least the past 6 months. No extensions/extra time to finish. I was surprised the first time it happened to me as missed Krusty's dad because of it.
