Watch the pilot until you get to the boat scene. You should at least see that.

The main arc which was the centerpointe of the show ends with closure. There is really no cliffhanger. They leave it open for a 2nd season, but I was satisfied with how it ended.

If you need 22 hours of something to watch this summer, I say go for it.

Were you and I watching the same show?

They pulled such a crappy little trick with the pregger twin quickly (far too quickly) hiding and everyone else clueless.

They didn't have to leave it open like that but then again the show was so convoluted and full of crap (piling on endless new 'twists' that were pointless when the few they had were enough to start off with) that while it was good to just see the whole thing play out just to see how it all ended, the ending just plain stunk.

Re: The CW picks up 5 shows.

The great thing about the Nikita renewal is that it is almost a shoo-in for a 4th season as well. The 4th season would get it the episodes needed for syndication, so this is doubly good news.

I still say Nikita doesn't really belong on a network that targets young women, but I'm glad they're keeping it around for another year (or two).

Re: The CW picks up 5 shows.

Too bad about TSC. I've been watching it more than TVD this year, but I guess I'll try to get back into TVD with the summer reruns.

The Selection: sounds interesting.
The Arrow: sounds interesting, too bad they didn't get Justin Hartley back for that, but... he is in the med show First Cut.

Beauty and the Beast and the Carrie Diaries: eh.

Well, dumping the unwatched episodes of Ringer and The Secret Circle will free much needed room on the PVR. Sorry to see TSC go.

As stated in Deadline.com's article, Nikita has big international sales. I was in Hong Kong during Nikita's 1st season and it aired on Warner TV Asia and it had a pretty big primetime slot (Mondays at 10pm) From what I understand, it's doing well in Asia mainly because Maggie Q was a big Hong Kong action star before she went to America.

I'm sure Warner Brothers TV had some big pull to get Nikita renewed and get 22 more episodes since there is international demand for it. I even think they were probably willing to take up alot of the production costs too since they are making their money back.

On a major network. Strike Back, because it's on premium cable, is no holds barred. It makes Nikita look like a show for girls.

Re: The CW picks up 5 shows.

I'll bet LA Complex is coming back next season since it has already been renewed in Canada so airing it here is inexpensive.

But it doesn't need to be listed on the fall season rosters. They can just place that midseason somewhere at their leisure.

Or Summer. Where it really belongs. CW has too many shows right now to throw in 13 episodes of this unless one of their new shows just flat-out bombs. They will likely have GG saved for midseason OTH-style (or if something bombs). Its not much of a night-starter anymore.

Re: The CW picks up 5 shows.

I'm happy to watch another season of Supernatural, I guess. It still has enough good moments to keep me watching.

I lost interest in Ringer and Secret Circle midway through their seasons, so no loss there.

I'm tentatively interested in Arrow, but if it's going to be as hit-and-miss as Smallville was, I don't know if I have the strength.

I'm also a little interested in Beauty and the Beast, since I enjoyed the original series. But I really dislike Kristin Kreuk, so I don't know if I'll be watching that one...

Yep, sorry as well.

What a waste of all those pretty girls.

The show had some good moments, but was not really done well enough to sustain any interest

I don't watch it, but I thought Gossip Girl was pretty popular? Is it just too expensive, or have the ratings taken a nose dive?

Re: The CW picks up 5 shows.

At the beginning of this TV season, I'd thought The Ringer had a better shot at at 2nd season than Hart of Dixie did, but I enjoy Hart of Dixie more (fills my Everwood void).

Can't believe Supernatual will be back, to me, that show is running on fumes (but I still need to finish up the last 4 episodes to see if it ended well enough).

Re: The CW picks up 5 shows.

SMG is preggers, so she's probably actually happy the show got cancelled. I bailed after about 6 episodes...it was far too drab and unsexy for a network like the CW.

Re: The CW picks up 5 shows.

Sorry to see The Secret Circle. Not great but I think could have addressed the issues.
Ringer, I lost interest in about 10 episodes in. Revenge is everything I thought Ringer would be
The Sex and the City prequel will be gone in a year.

Woohoo! I actually really enjoy that show, but it's pathetic A18-48 demo had me scared the CW wouldn't bother, even if the licensing fees are "a quarter of the budget for most reality shows"
