When available at both places, I've been buying mostly from Amazon so that I have it in Kindle and Comixology libraries for the one price.
I bought 1-17 in an earlier sale so I added #18 as well.

I try to always buy from Amazon. Comixology won't let me buy something if I've already bought it at either place, but Amazon will. If I have a previous purchase showing on the product page, and if I never one-click from the search results, then that's my best chance of avoiding a duplicate purchase.

Yeah, I hate having to check both sites on so many things now, to either not re-buy it on Amazon or to see if Amazon has a better sale.

About 200 issues of Usagi Yojimbo in a $70 bundle at Dark Horse.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

^ I only own about 40 of them at Dark Horse, but think UY is one of those titles that I'll want them all once I get around to actually reading it. I loved the little bits that I read back in the old Critters anthology book.

And this is actually a case where I'd probably break my rule and buy the bundle at Comixology if it was offered, as in my mind I wouldn't be 're-buying' issues and get more value.

Anyone here a big Usagi fan?

I'm a fan (started mainly through the Groo connection) though I don't collect it monthly so I'm obviously not a huge fan. I was tempted by the DH bundle but I kinda hate the reader, plus they have all their stuff on comixology so I'd also rather have it there, and would, like you, jump on it if they offered it.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I'm really tempted by the Usagi Yojimbo bundle but also annoyed that Dark Horse doesn't connect with Comixology like Marvel, DC, Amazon, or most every other vendor with their own portal. I have enough on Dark Horse (Hellboys, Star Wars, Predators, Aliens, etc) from before that I might take the plunge with the bundle discount if it holds out. It also helps that DC and Marvel aren't running any really great sales right now.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Damnit, I've got probably 100 of those through Dark Horse. It's still a good deal for the other 100 issues, but I'm still annoyed I'd be buying them twice.

Darn it I waited too long on the Usagi bundle. Oh well.

I really don't get why the other major publishers don't do the same. DC, for one, has been giving away the same selection of freebies for years.

I wonder what would happen if they both gave away issue number one of every title for free. Or better yet, just issue two.

Considering how often they reboot, that's giving away a lot of issues for Marvel. Now if they gave away issue 13, that would be quite a savings for them.

Oddly themed X-women sale. At the top of the list is a collection by Claremont and Milo Manara, or so I thought. It's actually a single issue done by them (which is on sale by itself as well) and three seemingly random one shots featuring X23, Dazzler, and Cloak and Dagger. Ugh.

Doesn't seem to be advertised in any way, but a good amount of recent Marvel collections are half off on the Amazon Kindle store (transferable to ComiXology).

Good find, thanks. I wish Amz was as user friendly to browse by series as Comixology.

I read some of Manara's European stuff last year and liked it well enough to pick up this X title but haven't read it. He does draw beautiful women.

This seems to be a constant strategy of theirs--the Epics and similar collections are frequently $9.99 or half off right after release and stay there. Not sure why they do that, but they're getting my money.

You're right that Amazon often has much lower, near 50% off, prices relative to Comixology on large Marvel catalog trades. However BGPu is pointing out that every single Marvel digital trade is 50% off on Amazon right now.

I don't think that's actually what BGPu said, but it's great news either way.

Teen Titans sale based around The Judas Contract but also including some newer series and solo titles like Blue Beetle and Deathstroke. The Celebration of 50 Years title is $8.99 in the Comixology sale but $5.99 at Amazon.

There's a new Groupees Dynamite bundle. I'm sure some of this has been in other bundles:

http://io9.gizmodo.com/marvel-joins-...ion-1794831452

io9 can exclusively reveal that, starting today, a selection of Marvel comics— ranging from practically brand-new series like the recent Iron Fist, America, and Elektra books, to familiar favorites like Amazing Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel, and even titles from its Star Wars line—will be available as part of Comixology Unlimited’s $5.99-a-month subscription. Although Marvel already has its own digital subscription service (also called Unlimited, confusingly enough), the offerings on Comixology will also be bundled along with free-to-read issues from publishers like IDW, Image, Boom Studios, Kodansha, and many more already available as part of Comixology Unlimited. Select Marvel collections will also be available through Kindle Unlimited and Amazon’s Prime Reading services as part of the deal, all designed as ideal entry points for readers who want to learn more about some of Marvel’s mightiest heroes.
Here’s a selection of what will be available for Unlimited subscribers starting today, with more titles on the way.

The usually Comixology stuff. If you like Marvel you are better getting the Marvel Unlimited. Full runs of stories and not just the first trades.
