Unsure if it was the launch date, but I have an email from when I created an account 7/1/2010.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

Put in a bunch of my new Disney BD codes and got (2) tickets to Monsters Inc. 3-D and 1 ticket to Wreck-It-Ralph!

So happy!

Thanks! I found an LA Times piece dated November of 2010 discussing that Disney had "quietly" launched DMO without any real fanfare. It was described then as a sort of test program.

No, things like double point days, etc.

Call them. They'll replace it.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

FYI, you should be able to stack the Rewards Points promotions, so you should hold onto entering your codes until the double points days.

For example, say you bought both Finding Nemo 3D and Up 3D.

If you wait to enter the points for those two titles until a double points day appears (sometime between Dec. 13-24), you would get:
  • 800 points (200 points per title, doubled)
  • 2 free Monsters Inc. 3D movie tickets
  • 4 Pixar Concept Art Lithographs (with $2.95 shipping)

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

Got an email with a holiday bonus that says you can get up to 1000 points. I got an extra 25 points the next time I enter a code. Bottom of the email says this:

*Mystery Bonus Points are predetermined and are based on a Member’s Disney Movie Rewards program activity from commencement of membership up through November 21, 2012. Magic Code from an eligible Blu-ray™ or DVD title must be entered by 12/31/12 to receive your Mystery Bonus Points.

Not sure exactly what that means.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

I also got 25 points bonus and just went ahead and entered a code to redeem for a dvd. I've got a bunch stashed for any double point days that may pop up too.

I also have no idea what they're trying to say in their description.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

It means there's a formula to determine how many points on the 25-1000 scale your bonus will be depending on how long you've been with the DMR program and how active you've been.

What they don't say is whether it's an ascending or descending scale. It could be that those of us that have been around the longest get the least bonus points, contrary to what those of us that have been around the longest would expect.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

I got the 25 point thing, too. I hope that doesn't screw up any double points offer come the 25 days of X-Mas (getting the 25 points and double points off the same title).

Yes, it was posted just earlier in this thread. It's 12 days.

Remember, this promotion will stack with later promotions, so you don't need to enter a code now. If you enter codes for the (presumably upcoming) double points days, it will also activate these bonus points at the same time.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

They've got a few new rewards... I decided to get the Pirates of the Caribbean Four-Movie Collection for 6000 points. I was saving up hoping for a signed poster, but there hasn't been one of those since Toy Story 3. Watch one come up now.

I never saw the Toy Story poster. Who signed it? It sounds cool.

I have 6550 points right now, and I'm very tempted to go for that set. The only thing holding me back is the hope for a new signed poster. I hate that I couldn't get in on that one, and I want something like that again pretty bad. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to hold out though!

How many points was that signed poster anyway?

EDIT:

Just found the text for that offer back then. Holy crap, I would have grabbed it in a second!

Toy Story 3 Cast-Signed Poster (5000 pts)

Even we're in awe of this reward: an official Toy Story 3 poster signed by voice talents Jodi Benson (Barbie), Joan Cusack (Jessie), Jeff Garlin (Buttercup), Estelle Harris (Mrs. Potato Head), Kristen Schaal (Trixie), Michael Keaton (Ken), and John Ratzenberger (Hamm). It's 2-sided, with the reverse image on the back. Measures 27" x 40". Quantities are limited.

Even though it was advertised to have many autographs, I got one of the rare ones with just Tom Hanks' signature on it. It was pretty cool.
