Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Worked for me, and I never even linked my PUR card to my account. So dumb that they can't just do that in store when you sign up. I lost it and I don't care, I hardly ever shop there anyway.

Thanks Decker!

Doesn't seem like you can sign up online for the program, even the free one.

Can't believe you can't sign up online, managed to get one from a friend since it allows two codes per person

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Just a heads up, there is a $10 off $50 Amazon Warehouse coupon that seem to be working on some people's account today. Code is EARTH10. I had it on two of my three accounts. I believe it expires at the end of the day.

Has Been Heroes for Xbox One is $19.99 at Gamestop. I know that's probably the normal price, but for Gamestop, it's a physical exclusive of theirs and not many people know about it (can also get it digitally at the same price). Pretty good rogue like game but very difficult.

Might as well wait for a price drop. It bombed horribly like their last two exclusive releases and they'll be giving them away for cheap sooner than later. The only version that even sold at all was the Switch one because of the lack of games on the system.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Song of the Deep supposedly did alright for what it is, although it didn't take long for it to drop to $10. Deformers actually looks pretty fun, and I was thinking about getting it for me and my wife to play together (although she's all Overwatch all the time, so there's no point with the backlog she has already), but...yikes, that was as catastrophic a flop as I've ever come across. I think it was last week where the max. concurrent players on Steam was in the single digits (literally 9 players)...!?!?!?

I wouldn't complain if GameStop's exclusive physical release of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 got a hefty price drop.

Lol, already bought it. I'm a sucker for small studio/rogue like physical releases and this hit me right in that spot all around. Doesn't bother me too much as long as I play it. Now if it's still sitting around in 6 months to a year and I haven't touched it...okay, then I'm kicking myself.

Also seem to be a sucker for Gamestop exclusives too...X1 - Duke Nukem 20th anniversary, check, Prototype 1/2 check, Song of the Deep, check, and I'm sure more if I think about it (Torment exclusive steelbook, etc). So yeahhhhh.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

The game Alan Wake is being pulled from digital stores on 5/15, so from now until then the game is on sale for 90% off, on Steam, GOG, and Humble Store. You can also get
http://store.steampowered.com/app/108710/Alan_Wake/
https://www.gog.com/game/alan_wake
https://www.humblebundle.com/store/alan-wake-franchise

The spin-off game Alan Wake's American Nightmare is also 90% off, although it will still be available for sale after the 15th.

Humble Store gives you both Steam keys and a DRM-free download.

Amazon is really killing my desire to order games. GCU stI'll allows 20% off on toys for life and collector's editions.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

The thing is, there are very few CEs that I've bought in the recent past that I absolutely needed... and no way would I have preordered them at full price. So maybe this saves me some money.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

The fact we still get 20% off anything with Prime still impresses me.

...and GCU's 20% off still works after two weeks, and (aside from Black Friday) it stacks with other sales rather than just MSRP. I get that Prime was never meant to really stand toe-to-toe with GCU, but...oof, it's so much worse now.

I just hope Best Buy doesn't see this and decide to cut back on its offerings as well. I guess this does mean that hard-to-get CEs/Amiibo at Best Buy could be even harder to get if GCU gets a whole bunch of new members...

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Yooka-Laylee is the deal of the day at Best Buy. $19.99 for either PS4/XB1 so $15.99 with GCU.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpa...=960&keys=keys

I had cancelled my preorder because early reviews said it ran like shit (which was a problem in the demo) but it's been patched since and supposedly plays a lot better now. I have 10 or so Best Buys within 15 minutes of me and only two had it in stock. It was a pretty low stock game to begin with.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I rented it from the library and put a couple hours into it. It's a great throwback to the N64 games. For $16, I picked up a copy as well.

Just a heads up, the Gold Editions of Ghost Recon Wildlands and For Honor are $60 each at Target and both also have cartwheel deals this week.

CDKeys.com has a $50 Xbox gift card for $43.99. Just bought one, worked fine.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

The speculation is that it's an E3 sale that accidentally went up early and had to be pulled. Target has it for the same price in next week's ad.
