It's not even worth the $10 dollars. It has to be, by far, the worst gaming magazines I have ever read. It might be okay if you are 10 years old or really into RPGs on the Wii and DS. Other than that, pure crapola.

I just let my sub run out after giving it a second chance this past year.

Agreed. I just got it for like $5 or something from Amazon with one of the deals they had for 50% off magazine, and another $5 off after purchasing a videogame, and its not even worth the $5 it cost me.

I like Nintendo Power, more so when it came with a choice of a players guide, or even one time a 4 pack of emulated Zelda games for the gamecube.

I wouldn't pay regular price for it or anything, but at least it's got some pretty good interviews, and the reviews, while still short, are at least pretty unbiased at this point. Much better than I was expecting when I first subscribed for dirt cheap.

It's also pretty much the only magazine that I can get wii/ds news/reviews from now that EGM is still on hiatus... Gamepro doesn't count.

Note: You could also just text that message to yourself and it would work fine as well.
Just did this, thanks!

This is a little better deal than the Madden one which was 6 months for $50.

I just signed up. Madden took about 8 weeks to arrive, but it was still worth it.
Just got my NBA Live 10 game in the mail today, so that's exactly two weeks after placing the order and WAY quicker than the Madden 10 game arrived. I've since read that NBA 2K10 is better, but that is such a good deal with a year of SI that I don't care. (As long as it's better than NBA Unrivaled, I'll be happy)

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I've heard good things about Live though. And, both games have gotten (or are still getting) patches which address numerous issues. It's apparently a lot closer this year, and some even prefer Live.

The big knock for me is the lack of a mode where you control one player only (like NHL's Be a Pro mode - don't know if your NHL2K10 has that or not).

I haven't played Live, but I have NBA 2k10 and the NCAA game that is supposed to be just like Live and to me 2K is still better by a wide margin.

I suspect we will see much better deals on Tony Hawk: Ride in the weeks and months to come.

It's already officially the biggest bomb of 2009. I read that somewhere so it must be true and free of conjecture or hyperbole.

Oh, I must have missed that, which is perfectly understandable at the incredibly rapid rate at which they start new threads.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

FWIW, Dead Space is still ringing up at $10 at Wal-Mart. Shelf tag says $20 but my receipt says otherwise.

My Wally World must have just restocked because they haven't had it for quite some time. I guess it should be noted that they only had the Platinum Line version of the game, none of the original print run.

Does someone in your life need a lump of coal in their stocking? Newegg has just the thing for you!:

Lost: Via Domus (PS3) - $5.99 + free shipping at Newegg

$6 is probably just the right price for this game interactive experience turd.
