French editor Carlotta goes Blu-Ray

Carlotta should release on October 8, Fellini's Casanova, Godard's One+One and Sholay from Ramesh Sippy.

I doubt it these would be English-friendly releases as Carlotta has never been keen on adding English subs to their releases but nevertheless this is great news (I could do with French subs only).

There's a rumour that Arte Video planned its first Blu-Ray title, The Tin Drum from Volker Schlöndorff.

One Plus One is an English-language film, so no worries there. (Definitely an odd choice for the first Godard Blu-ray.) Their Casanova DVD had no English subs, but it did include the English dub (with Sutherland's actual voice), so there's some hope on that front.

It will be released with two different cuts, but I have no info concerning these versions.

Presumably the same cuts on the standard-def release -- Godard's "One Plus One" cut and the Iain Quarrier "Sympathy for the Devil" cut (which adds the finished song over the end credits and makes a few other minor changes).
