First CSI loses one, now CSI: Miami and Law & Order lose actresses.

OK, now this is getting downright ridonkulous.

For the third time this week, I'm bringing you exclusive news about yet another cast shake-up at a hit procedural. This time 'round, the show in question is CSI: Miami and the departing thesp is Khandi Alexander.

Although CBS declined to comment, a Miami insider confirms that Alexander — who has played medical examiner Alexx Woods since day one — is leaving at the end of the season. What's the story behind this exit? I'm not 100 percent certain, but, from what I gather, it wasn't one of those mutual deals we've been hearing about so much lately. Let's just say Alexander had some, um, issues with a certain aspect of the show and leave it at that, K?

Meanwhile, Miami's on the prowl for a new medical examiner to succeed Alexander, and word on the street is the newbie will have male genitalia.
This follows original CSI actor Gary Dourdan, and Law & Order actress Diane Neal, who were both allegedly FIRED from their shows, rather than quit them.

Too bad they can't get rid of Emily Proctor on CSI Miami. Worst actress on tv.

Fixed.

... and maybe the new ME will not only talk to the bodies, but um... "play" with them.

Khandi Alexander is not a huge loss at all for Miami. Out of the 44-45 minutes of show content, she probably has less than 10 minutes of screen time and that's being generous.

The CSI Miami coroner always creeped the hell out of me, so no loss there.

Sounds like Chris Noth Part Deux. *Not* comparing any of the departing to Noth (though Alexander is very good i think) but that move was regretted I believe. Uppety, uppety actors.

Yet she had no problems uttering lines to corpses like "Aww, you didn't mean to get shot, did you, baby?"

Has anybody said why Diane was fired?

Nah, unless TV Guide reveals the answers to these questions since they're much more credible, anything else is gossip.

add Adam Beach to the list.

from tvguide.com:

http://community.tvguide.com/blog-en...each/800037893

"Adam Beach is leaving Law & Order: SVU at the end of this season, as he and the producers have mutually agreed not to extend his option for a second season on the NBC procedural. "I very much enjoyed my year on Law & Order: SVU," Beach tells the Reporter. "Now I'm looking forward to new adventures."

Says overL&Ord Dick Wolf, who also worked with Beach on HBO's acclaimed Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, "Adam is a superb actor. He did a terrific job this season on SVU, and I look forward to working with him again in the near future."

No actually she is the Woman from News Radio.

Just as long as Catherine and Gil stay on CSI. I will be happy.

What is Dourdan going to do outside of this show?

Between Meloni, Hargitay, Belzer, Neal, Ice T, Tunie and Florek the appearances of the characters were very random and uneven.

Meloni and Hargitay are the stars of the show, and I think the supporting cast was getting a little too big. I liked Beach, though.

Hopefully no more Adam Beach means more screen time for Det. Munch.

Reports had been surfacing that Gary Dourdan was let go from CSI, and not that he left the show on his own will. Perhaps this is why? Drug troubles:

"CSI" Star Popped for Heroin, Coke, Ecstasy

Posted Apr 29th 2008 2:00PM by TMZ Staff

"CSI's" Gary Dourdan was busted in Palm Springs yesterday on suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and prescription drugs. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the actor was asleep in his car at 5:21 AM when they approached the vehicle and made the bust.

Wow. That's a veritable Grand Slam right there. All he is missing is some pot or meth for a Yahtzee.

QFT. He is not used near enough. Expect the Munch character to show up in another show as well after Law and Order is done.

Her performance in HBO's "Breast Men" in 1997 had a couple of redeeming qualities.

Bad joke, I know.
