Why is 30 ROCK: Season 1 cheaper the week after its initial release @ TARGET?? Anyone else notice that?

^ yea, i noticed that too. just pointed it out in the other target post also. really odd. i used to think buying on release date preserved the lowest price for at least a few months... now you only have to wait 7 days to get a better price.

any confirmation on whether or not the Nip/Tuck exclusive is just a black slip cover over the original art?

cause i really dig the coverart this season... even though the all black is pretty classy.

By the time I got to my local Target they were all sold-out of the regular Office set and had only 3 copies of the Deluxe Version left. I don't know how many they had to start with.

Wow. It's crazy how different area's in the country have such different DVD collector populations. In Fargo it looks there were 10 deluxe left after I took mine and the regular stack was still full. There were still Heroes exclusive set's there too, but they were 54.99. (I'm second guessing the purchase of the nifty set, as it clashes with the previous seasons. But I like having the extra content)

The Target I went to today had many Heroes Exclusive sets left, I mean at least 10 sets maybe more. They had about 6 of the Office Nifty set and about the same for the regular set. Best Buy had a ton of the Office Exclusive sets, I saw alot more than the 18 stated in the sales paper. I still can't believe Circuit City did not even advertise the Office Season 3 set plus not even have an exclusive edition.

I'm thinking the same thing. I like the embossed foil on the regular season set, which matches S2, so I suppose I'll determine when I see the deluxe version up close. I plan on heading there for the Nip/Tuck deluxe, which I just can't pass up. Any photos out there of this one?

The Target version has a black slipcover over the regular cover. Haven't watched the bonus disc yet. The $5 coupon did work for me, but your YMMV.

What the hell?

I went to three different Targets and as of 10am this morning, all three stores were sold out of the Target-exclusive version of Office. If they're gonna advertise something, why would they not have enough stock on hand to last more than a few hours?

Is the black slipcover high quality, or cheap and flimsy? And is there a place for the DVD to fit into the package (like Heroes and Office: S3), or separate? Thanks in advance.

Edit: I saw some pics in a Nip/Tuck forum somewhere, and the extra DVD is NOT in a cradle, like Heroes and Office deluxe versions, and it's reported the package is really tight as a result. So I think I'll stick to BB for both regular editions of this and Office. It saves me a trip.

My wife just got back from Target and they had the exclusive "The Office: Season 3" and took the coupon (b&w laser print) no questions asked.

It looks like a sweet set!

I ended up going to two Targets to try and get the exclusive "Office" set to no avail. Was told by one store that they received a single copy and it sold. That store then checked the computer and told me that none of the other stores in the area (I'm located in Anaheim,CA) received any. Made it easier to just go and get the Best Buy set.

Can anyone attest to the quality of the Target bonus disc and exact contents?

The only thing on the 5th DVD is "The William S. Paley Television Fesival 2007: The Office" Question and Answer Session. It has a runtime of 22:49.

Oh, and there are subtitles for the Q&A session too.

That's it.

Thanks for the heads-up at "30 Rock". I was going to buy it this week, but I can wait a few more days.

I'm in the same general vicinity as you (Tustin/Irvine, CA), and it was sold out at the three stores I checked also, in the morning, no less. Seems like Orange County stores got short-shifted on these for some reason.

My Target had two rows of the Office set and one for Nip/Tuck. I picked up one of each.

Pomona CA - Checked five stores, nothing, maybe slow delivery because of the holiday, but checking was a frustrating hassle.

I went ahead and bought The Office (Nifty Gifty version) and 30 Rock at Target. I paid for, and used a $5 off coupon, for The Office in the electronics department, and then I took 30 Rock up to the front and used another $5 coupon for that one.

Anyone know if that's true or not?

The slipcover is kinda cheap and since it's black, once you touch it, it will be covered in fingerprints. The bonus DVD comes in it's own separate sleeve.

Just a heads up for those with a little princess in the house......the target price for Disney's Enchanted Princess is 17.99 not 14.99 as assumed by looking at the add.
