Deep Discount no more?

Is it just me or does deep discount (the former DDD) not seem very discounted anymore? I’ve compared a few DVDs, some are a bit cheaper than amazon and some are quite more expensive!

Also, anyone know if their 20% sale is gone forever? Going by history they should have had one about a month ago.

They have been expensive for quite a while. And history would show their sales are typically in June and November. I don't think I've ever seen a 20% sale in April.

Considering they tend to jack up prices for the 20% sale, they are hardly a discount even then.

I have been buying some titles from their sales lately. I'am waiting for the 20% off codes if they do that anymore and will check the prices on some titles then. But my buying from them or anyone else has gone way down from what it was in past years. I guess maybe Dvd is dieing for me or that I have 1000 or so unwatched titles.

I wrote them off when they gave my personal info to spammers.

A little misleading with the title there....

DDD was great for several yrs, but I no longer use it.. even during the sales. Granted I'm not buying many DVD's as I wait for HD, but a few bucks saved isn't driving my purchases anymore.

Amazon with prime is generally a better deal for me now. And I've been buying HD discs which are always a better deal at amazon. i miss the days when I could shop at deepdiscountdvd and not even have to check prices against other stores.

Same here, I go with Amazon with Prime every time I order online, they are fast with shipping and their prices are good...DDD lost my business along time ago, I will never buy from them again...

It is not just you. Amazon beats them on price most of the time.

Pick a random set of 50 DVDs from your collection and I bet you're wrong.

Huh...what's special about that?

Save 80 bucks and just spend $25 or more an order to get free shipping. I usually get stuff from them with the free shipping option within 3 days.

Me too. That's the only reason I've never joined. It never takes more than 3 or 4 days for me to get my free shipping orders from them. But I can see where this would be good for people who only like to order one item at a time.

Now if you got discounts on the items themselves rather than just shipping, that would be more appealing.

Amazon Prime is one of the biggest online shipping scams, ever.

HMMM......I want to get this for my dad, I wonder if there are other things worth getting.

btw....amazon prime is a great deal if you order a lot from them. I love the overnight for $3.99. Whenever they don't make it, I usually demand a GC. It paid for itself and then some last year...this year I'm probably 1/4 of the way there (and I just re-newed)
