Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

Wish I'd checked here before the Hot Deals forum- AMAZING deal on Amazon and I would have definitely added invincible and madman to my order but with the shipping times for those two seems very improbable that I'd get them.

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

Unless you were lucky enough to find something in-stock, I put the odds of getting these for $14.99 at near 0%, same goes for the pre-orders. I mean, hells yeah I ordered about 10 books (3 of them in-stock when I ordered), but I'm not expecting to get any of them.

How can u tell if it will go through? I ordered a couple of omnibus books and I got a confirmation email with a delivery date....does that mean they will honor those or will there is a chance they will cancel it?

You/we may get lucky, but of course they don't have to honor misprices.

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

Not a whole lot there I'm interested in, but I did order the Madman Gargantua for $14.99... seems to be on backorder, so I don't know if I'll get it or not, but I won't be heartbroken if I don't.

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

With the limited printings of the Omnibus I wonder if there are even enough out there to cover all the orders!

I didn't order anything Marvel. But I did order Invincible and Criminal.

Ordered 7 of the $8.24 Omnibuses, and waiting to see if the other $14.99 omnibuses will drop in price later today.

Yikes, I ordered Wolverine at $14.99. Wonder if I should cancel and reorder. I'll get X-Men for kicks then too.

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

Amazon has shipped 8 Marvel Omnibuses with tracking numbers, I hope the rest of you get yours as well!
This has to be a once in a decade deal, up there with some of the big lots dvd stuff a few months back.

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

3 of my 4 have shipped. Madman is the only one left for me. The two I really cared about are already on their way. Woo hoo.

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

One of my four shipped - really wish I had tried for Invincible now - that is the one I probably would have wanted more than ANY of the others. I was so convinced these would all get canceled. Still not sure they'll get stock to fill the rest but one of the two that I really care about getting has shipped already. Thanks again Marvel for the heads up!!

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

Just got an e-mail saying Madman is out of stock, so they've cancelled the order. I'm completely fine with that.

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

All of mine were cancelled.

We have no right to complain, as it was an obvious pricing mistake, but I am sort of kicking myself for not ordering until ~12 hours after I first saw the news of the 'deal'.

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

ordered 10, 3 shipped, 2 shipping soon status, 5 cancelled. Not bad, since I expected none of them. Got 3 of the 4 books I wanted the most (Invincible Iron Man, Ultimates, Secret Wars) but missed out on X-Men Omnibus

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

So I got this today after my whole order was canceled.

Hello,

We wanted to follow up on a recent message we sent about the cancellation of your recent order.

To recap: Due to a pricing error, we sold many more graphic novels than expected. In fact, we completely sold out — we don't have any in stock right now, and we're not sure when we'll be able to get more.

We're sorry for any frustration the issue may have caused, and have applied a $25 promotional certificate to your account.

You can use it the next time you order an item shipped and sold by Amazon.com. You'll see your available promotional balance at checkout--this amount will be applied to your next order automatically without entering a claim code.

I hope this helps. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Sincerely,

Customer Service
Amazon.com

Yay free 25 dollars!
