Carlotta-France are releasing M.Antonioni's Red Desert in a lavish collector's edition. Unfortunately the French disc will not offer English subs. Even more upsetting is the announcement that a bigger 3DVD set will include the maestro's The Lady Without Camelias starring Lucia Bose. This being said the land down uder will see a release of Red Desert this coming October 11th (hopefully a port of the Cinema Forever Italian set).

I discovered The Passenger, and as a result Michelangelo Antonioni, just earlier this year for the most part. If I love that film, to the point where it has really remained in my mind, would his other works have the same type of effect on me?

Since I definitely will need English subs, I'll keep my eye out for more news on the R4 release, unless an R1 suddenly gets announced.
