Does anyone know if the great cartoon PLASTIC MAN will be released on DVD soon?

The site sell bootleg DVDs, so i think you should take it out of your post. and many of those TV shows that they sell have official DVD releases in region 1.

As for Plastic Man, I know that his character, although mentioned in the series several times, wasn't allowed to appear on the Justice League or Justice League Unlimited cartoons by the powers that be at WB, because there is/was going to be a movie of this character. if that movie is produced, i'll imagine that a DVD release of the cartoon series will be done.

I'd like to see that old "Beatles" animated series released on DVD... but I seriously doubt the surviving parties will ever authorize it...

/obscure?

That would be neat, to have the Beatles cartoons I think I remember watching them when I was about 6 years old. And here's another vote for The Lone Ranger cartoons!

The two (were there more made?) "Amos 'N Andy" cartoons released by RKO (before the TV series, but after "Check and Double Check") have never been released on DVD.

Keep in mind that (bootleg site) strives to get the best quality of TV shows and cartoons, but must do so legally, which means that none of our DVD-Rs are copies of production or studio released DVDs. We bring a service to collectors to help them acquire Complete Series of TV Shows that they cannot find elsewhere. Legal copies of these shows mean they reside in the public domain, such as television airwaves, and are unable to reach the quality of the original studio copies.

I'd like to note that "cartoons" doesn't just refer to television animation, and not all animated films and TV shows are cartoons. Keep that in mind.

RKO's Amos 'N Andy cartoons aren't on DVD.

BTW, "cartoons" does not specifically refer to TV shows, and not all animated films are cartoons.

Why the fuck were THESE posts deleted? THIS is offensive? Dee dee dee!

Actually, I could swear he WAS on JLU at least once. Not spotlighted, but used in one of the big battles.

Back to the topic, my most-wanted cartoons on DVD are:
- The complete Betty Boop, remastered (the laserdiscs were edgy)
- The complete Fleisher studios Popeye
- Ralph Bakshi's Mighty Mouse, the New Adventures

The Booster Gold episode had him mentioned. To Elongated Man: "We already have Plastic Man, I don't think we're going to need two stretchy guys." The only other time I could see him being used is in the background of the episode when the Cadmus project attacks their orbiting HQ. They had a number you never saw much of, like Metamorpho.

There are some (21)Betty Boop and (8)Popeye's and (1) Mighty Mouse on archive.org but I don't know of the quality of the series. Maybe these aren't the ones you are interested in...

Popeye the Sailor Man - the classic B&W Max Fleischer cartoons, as well as the Betty Boop cartoons.

I really hope WB can finally get King Features off their back. Paramount needs to do something about Boop.

Seriously, I'd like to see Freakazoid!, Eek the Cat, Duckman, and Tiny Toons come out on DVD sometime during my life.
