Spidey 3 Villains Revealed?

According to Freezedriedmovies.com, they got the exclusive word regarding the Spidey 3 villains.

Thomas Haden Church = Sandman (we all kinda figured that one)
James Franco = Hobgoblin (Not Green Goblin 2???)

and last, but certainly not least:

Topher Grace = VENOM!

I though for sure Raimi wouldn't put Venom in the film, but I guess
fan (and maybe studio) pressure got the best of him?

Here's the link

Just for the record, I called Topher as venom as soon as it was announced he was in the film

I dont believe them. That seems to be really villain heavy, unless Venom has a small role and is used in the next spidey.

Not a big fan of the films, but Topher Grace as Eddie Brock, are you kidding me?

I don't believe this either. If Topher Grace is going to be Venom, then I will automatically hate Spiderman 3 because I HATE Venom.

For all you Grace/Venon/Brock haters, lets look at the facts. Venom is a totally plausible villian. Remember, Eddie Brock is mentioned in the first film at the Daily Bugle. He Also works as a photographer, and he is sort of Peter's rival, and i remember is some story arc that Brock gets close to Mary Jane. I think it was Raimi's intent to portray the 2 characters, of Peter and brock as rivals, and opposites, with Brock eventually gaining powers. thats how i think it will work.

I agree. I think Venom can work really well. Like UncleCaveman said, you start out with them competiting with each other at work, and then Brock gets the Venom suit and starts competiting with Spider-Man, and then at the end they find out each other's true identities. Yada yada. It works especially well with the casting of Topher Grace because he looks and has the same build as Tobey Maguire.

But Eddie Brock was always stockier than Peter Parker. I've always liked Venom, but I don't like the choice of Topher at all.

I always hoped Church would be electro, and I refuse to believe there is no Lizard.

Topher as Venom seems like it would suck, but whatever....

I'm still betting that we will see this scene somewhere in the movie. http://www.spiderfan.org/cgi-bin/cov...man_v2,016.jpg This issue alone makes me think that this is totally true. In the Ultimate universe, Venom is similar in build to Spidey. I think making them rivals (they are in the comics) would be a great idea. Worst case scenario, this movie ends up like Batman & Robin.

Eh, I thought Molina as Doc Ock was a bad idea too. On the other hand, I like Molina. This Gopher kid I couldn't give a fig for.

I don't buy it. Raimi has gone on record on how he hates Venom and you'll never see him in a Raimi-helmed Spider-man movie. Topher Grace is playing someone else.

I don't mind Topher, but I don't think he'd be a good Venom. While Church is a good fit for Sandman, I always thought he might play a good Eddie Brock as well. However this works out, it'll be interesting.

Wait.... so how did they comfirm this? Seems like internet here say to me. "Various sources"... sorry, that's not going to cut it to being ground breaking. Especially with a no name site like this.

This is the one piece of info sony has been on top of keeping top secret. I doubt they would just let it swing like this.

If it is true, i hope the movie doesn't end up like Batman & Robin. There was talk of the movie starting with a bang with a sandman action scene in the beginning. ughh i can just see it.
Spider-Man: Hi, Sand! I'm Spider-man!
Sandman: You are NOT sending ME to the SANDBOX!

Is this even from a reputable source? I've never heard of Freeze Dried Movies.com.
